Marker dot sizes and patterns

I'm currently printing a collection of balls and domes for marker dots and trying to figure out what will actually work best. So far I've run into trouble with the mini-turntable that ships with the pop 4 being a bit small for items I want to scan, so there's a bigger turntable top printing. Mostly my plans are handheld mic/tv remote kinda size.

Dot patterns: is there a technique to getting good non-repeating patterns that track well? I'm well aware that humans suck at actual randomness.

Do smaller (3mm ID) dots track with better accuracy or is the only advantage to them that they fit in smaller places?

Is it OK to mix dot sizes on prepared scanning surfaces and markers, or is this a recipe for problems down the line?

Sacked BBC journalist Sean McGinty loses employment tribunal

One transphobic heap of shit sacked and the BBC "acted reasonably" in doing so.

Can they fire the rest of the transphobes now?

I might even pay for a TV licence if they do.

"male and female washroom attendants in operation"

Would such a sign (common in motorway services) mean that the facilities are not in fact single sex?

Or is this just further absurdity?
