How to announce to my private clients I am raising prices?

I started holding my own classes due to requests from peopel at the studio. At the time (january 25) I was newly certified and didn't know my worth, so I did not set high prices.

Now a lot of new studios are opening up and prices for their group sessions are more expensive or close to the price I have for semi-privates. I now also have few more cetificates behind, I regulary take mentor classes and have full schedule from referals.

I will expand to a little bit bigger studio soon, when I find the right space, I need to increase the pricing, maybe € by € monthly, but I cannot work on sale anymore.

How do I tell this to people? Please be nice and understanding.

Opening boutique pilates studio

I am asking here, because I get discouraged in pilates communities due to the loan I want to take. Please read everything.

I am 24, I’ve been teaching full time for 2 years, and currently I operate small 2 reformer studio by referral only clients. Since I was 15 I worked and builded up family business which grew from 2 to 20 employees, so I have some experience on how business is operating. This business can also back me financialy if needed.

I’d like to expand in bigger space with additional 2 reformers at first.
As rent prices are unreasonably high (1,5k–2,5k monthly), I would like to buy a space for a studio, as investment property or to increase my buying power in the future.
To be able to do that, I’d need 100k loan, (which is around 1850€ if I take it on 5 years or 985€ on 10 years monthly). In all financial plans I did, I planned to be paying off 2k monthly. In those plans total revenue of the studio (before tax) for first few months is 4k and then 6-8k monthly. I calculated everything based on prices and 70% revenue of the studio which opened up last year and kicked off fast without any real marketing.

After 5 years I can either sell the space and buy something better, rent it out, or simply use it myself with less expenses.

What do you think? Will I tie the capital with loan?

I stress so much with opening my own studio

I'd like to open my own studio, I've been teaching full time for 2 years, prior that I was in pilates for about 5 years after getting injured in gymnastics in teens. I've done multiple workshops, mostly abroad, I am stott certified, I will full certify next year. I currently run by referal only small studio with regular clients.

I stress so much the bigger studio will not run, I've done multiple financial calculations. I stress with pricing, with rent, with attracting new clients and social media. I know social media now is a priority but I hate myself on camera. I don't have a partner or supportive family who would push me forward or cheer for me.

Do you have any advices? How do I get myself into mindset of someone who did one reformer training, has zero experience and has a confidence to open a studio?

Do people in your studio wear socks or they are barefoot?

There is a lot of marketing going on, people are dirty and we will get pinworms and this is why they shoud be worn.

Meanwhile I was in Brazil for vacation, I visited 5 different studios there and they were all barefoot, and you only see people from the upper class in the studios there

Is owning a studio worth it? Please give me your top tips for opening. Do you think is just a trend?

I always wanted to have my own studio, at this point I mostly only hold privates, semi privates on reformer, they are all by referal. When I still worked at the studios my classes were usually full, with a lot of regulars. I've been teaching full time for 2 years and thinking of bigger studio for longer. I am almost fully stott certified (I need to take barrels and ACCB course) and I also invest plenty into different workshops.
Then I am mad at myself for investing so much into my education to be holding classes at one small room with limited capacity where I basically cannot add equipment, not making that much money and then there are instructors who did one certificate and opened a studio half a year later and their business is thriving now. My clients and friends and family are super encouraging for me to open a bigger place but we live in a rather small town, I don't think a small town can hold another studio and I don't know how I will put myself out there on social media to attract new clients. I know studio like I want is a huge investment and risk. I'd really like to have 4 reformers with towers, 4 chairs and mat & barre classes, if I'd be lucky enough I'd find someone to hold ballet class for adults once a week.... I come from business owner family, and I worked in it untill recently so I know the advantages and disadvantages of it.
