mat-172 online so lost

Just started mat-172 online and I'm so confused with everything. I'm great with algebra, but this stuff is just so much to take in all at once. I feel like it just throws you right in without much teaching and expects you to understand everything with technical explanations and a video every now and then. Anyone have advice??

MyHeritage to Promethease?

I've purchased a MyHeritage DNA testing kit, and I know that they own Promethease, but on the website for accepted filetypes it doesn't list MyHeritage files.
Would I be able to upload my MyHeritage DNA data to Promethease? Especially without having to manually edit the file?

post and user flair

Hey, just wanted to make a quick friendly PSA about flair here. I don't have it required currently, but post flair IS an option here and makes it easier for people to browse this page and filter out posts they don't want to see! Additionally, while there is no selection of user flair, you all are free to create and use any within reasonable boundaries lmfao.

This is not intended to be a drama-only reddit, please do feel free to post or ask questions about artists and songs and anything related to scenecore as well!

Rook won't heal after a year

Hey, I have a rook that I got March 2025 that still produces crust and gets angry when I sleep on it. I know I'm typically a slower healer too. I went to a different piercer than usual yesterday, and she told me that a possible reason for this lack of healing is the fact that the bar was "too short"? I mean, it was downsized and fitted by my APP piercer, but maybe she's right? She gave me a longer bar and installed it, but basically, her reasoning was that when I slept on it I would put too much pressure on the piercing and that a longer bar would have more wiggle room for that to not happen. I trust her somewhat, she's a very experienced piercer that uses titanium jewelry, hollow needles with no cannula, etc, but I'm just wondering if her logic here holds up. Thank you!

NC triangle halftone/high contrast artists?

Hey! I'm curious if there are any artists who specialize in high contrast or possibly even halftonw work around the NC Triangle/Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area? I'm willing to go maybe an hour and a half or so from North Raleigh, so if anyone has recommendations please let me know!

Edit: I am only looking for local tattoo artists, not designers. Please do not reach out unless you are a tattoo artist in NC.

High Contrast/Halftone Tattoo Artist?

Are there any artists within maybe an hour and a half or so of North Raleigh who specialize in these tattoo styles? It seems like everyone does american trad, fineline, or realism around here and I'm stuck. There are definitely some artists out in Asheville with these styles but 4 hours is a bit far for me.
