Early yesterday I was able to access my AT&T email using Thunderbird. I have several email addresses & they worked. But a few hours later I could not download any AT&T email.

I have a gmail address which still works with TB so I tried a few things.

An AT&T address can send to the gmail address & the gmail does receive it.

The gmail can send to an AT&T address. The gmail indicates it was sent, but the AT&T address never receives it.

It seemed to be an AT&T problem so I went to the AT&T site & deleted the Secure Mail Key and created a new one. Did this on just one of the addresses. That made no difference & still cannot receive anything.

When trying to receive email, at the bottom of the screen it displays my address & “Connected to inbound.att .net”. That would seem to indicate I’m connected, however just cannot get my email.

And suggestions on to get AT&T email working with Thunderbird again?

I’ve been using a USB thumb drive for music but someone said no one does that anymore because they use cell phones.

I like the USB drive because it’s always in the car & don’t need a phone. Just curious if I’m an outlier.

I have a USB thumb drive with music/songs but the album artwork does not display on the screen.

The artwork appears to be embedded in each mp3 file so it should display. It works fine in other cars.

Any idea why it's not working in the Caddy.

I’d like to get all-season tires when replacement time comes. It gets cold in northern IL & I don’t feel like messing around changing tires.

The two popular replacements seem to be Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 and Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus.

I think the original Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are quite noisy & am concerned the AS version will also be. Most, but not all, comments say the Contis are quieter than the Pilot Sport AS.

Is there a consensus of opinion if the Contis are quieter?

Recently bought a 2025 CT4-V Blackwing. It shows a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds which obviously must be from the previous owner. Is this the quickest time or just the time from the last run? If I do a 4.3 second run will it delete the 4.2 and replace it with 4.3?

There is no SD Card in the dash. Does that mean it's not needed for 0-60 time runs? Or if an SD Card was used would that save more timed runs?

I'm trying to find a silicone license plate frame that fits Illinois plates. I tried a couple but they were way too tight & caused the front of the frame to pull away from the plate. Everything I found says license plates measure 12" x 6". However my plate is 12-3/32" x 6-1/8" which is why the frames don't fit.

Anyone in Illinois use a silicone rubber frame that fits the plate?

It is very tight & as some reviewers have mentioned it has caused the plate to bend or warp. I’m not sure if the warping is caused by the tension in the rubber frame or from using a flat pry tool to get the frame on.

That said, there is so much tension in the back of the frame that the bottom is almost being pulled off near the drain holes. See photo. Obviously I removed frame.

Any recommendations on a similar frame that is not so tight?

Is there any simple label printing software that will let me use mail merge & print address labels from an Excel spreadsheet?

I don’t have Microsoft Office or Word installed on my PC.

I do have LibreOffice installed. However their support group says printing mailing labels is involved. In another video says it’s complicated.

I did find an old copy of Avery Design & Print software but it’s a large 491K file. That just seems crazy big just to print labels. Currently it appears Avery & others all seem to be online which I’d rather not do.

Currently I’m using the old MS Works software which is quick & easy. The database is in the Works format which is a spreadsheet & can be opened in LibreOffice and resaved in Excel format. I’m trying to get out of the Works system because it’s not supported anymore. But it sure is easy to use.

Is there any easy to use PC desktop software that will print address labels?

I have a Maytag washer & need a tub seal kits #6-2095720 but it is discontinued. I’ve checked the usually parts suppliers & no one has it.

There are a lot of sellers on Amazon that have it but most get bad reviews on the part. Typically it leaks from the beginning. There are some with good reviews but it’s usually a 5 star rating with only a few reviews. Most photos look the same so I’m presuming most sellers are providing the same crappy parts.

I’ve called a couple appliance repair companies hoping they might have access to quality aftermarket parts & could repair the washer, but they have not called back. Probably because they can’t repair the machine.

Is there an appliance parts supplier that provides quality third party parts to repair shops and individuals?

I'm looking to buy a 2025 CT4 Blackwing & have been playing around with the instrument cluster configuration. It seems the more I change things the less I like it.. It would be nice to be able to go back to some default display as a starting point. Is this possible?

I’m looking at a 2025 CT4 Blackwing automatic. I drove the car & have a question about the exhaust.

The dealer (not a Cadillac one) sent me some photos of the underside. One is taken with a thermal camera which shows some hot sections of the exhaust system. One of the pipes that goes around the differential shows very hot while the other side doesn’t even look warm. This is the pipe going into the muffler. Since the exhaust system "cut out" valves are on the muffler's output they should not be affecting this.

Any idea why this is happening?

About a year ago the printer started printed normal sheets of paper a bit too light. Changing toner didn’t really help. But I changed printer settings & set Density to Darkest and Print Text in Black and everything seems OK.

I haven’t printed envelopes for while but just did a few & the text is gray. I set Density to Darkest and Print Text in Black for envelopes. Apparently there are different settings for envelopes & sheets. But it didn’t seem to make any difference.

Is there some other envelope setting that needs to be changed?

My La Crosse TX141TH-BV3 remote sensor stopped providing temperature & humidity.

I cleaned the battery terminals & replaced the batteries & it worked, until I put it back outside. I cleaned the battery terminals several times & the red LED blinks.

I leave it inside near the front door all day & it works. But move it 15 feet back outside & it stops. Bring it back inside & it automatically connects & starts working.

The sensor is a replacement I bought 5 years ago & it’s been working outside all this time until now. Any idea why it has stopped?

It as if the transmitter circuitry has grown weak over time. Any known fix for this?

Some instructions for adjusting a probe’s compensation say to set the probe & the scope to X10 (or 10X). Does this mean you’re getting X100 attenuation of the signal?

What happens when the probe is switched to X1? Do you have to readjust the compensation? There’s never any mention of this.

Looking around it appears some scopes don’t have an X10 setting. You just connect the probe to the scope’s compensation terminals & adjust the probe. Does that mean every time you switch the probe between X10 and X1 you have to readjust the compensation?
