Dental procedures and nursing

I have a crown procedure coming up and the dentist said she is going to use 3% mepivacaine plain anesthetic and topical benzocaine. She recommended pumping and dumping for 24 hours, but my baby refuses a bottle. When I look it up, it seems okay to keep nursing. The anesthetic I am less sure of. Anyone have experience with this? Not sure why she would say 24 hours if it is actually okay to nurse.

9 month old waking early

My baby was sleeping until around 7 and waking up content in his crib. Which seemed like a great thing and like he was getting the perfect amount of sleep. Now he is suddenly waking up around 6:15, crying and wanting to nurse and won't go back to sleep. Today it was 5AM! His naps are at 10-11:30 and 3-4:30 with bedtime at 8. Any advice to optimize his sleep to get him back to waking content? Not sure why it changed. :(

Not sure why this has started happening, but has anyone else experienced it or know how to fix it? It keeps growing out and catching on stuff so I just keep cutting it as short as I can.
