How do I engage my client?

My client is an older kid and in home and doesn’t want to play with toys or the games I bring. They are non vocal and only ever want to go outside which family usually doesn’t allow and I’m glad for that because it makes it hard to run goals. The only thing they actually engage with is eating or phone/TV time. They seem to enjoy slime and sand but I don’t bring them out since my client will try and eat them or make a very big mess. My BCBAs haven’t overlapped since the first session and give me the basic advice of just check something out from the clinic which is what I’ve been doing. When we do go outside it’s a battle to even have my client look at me. Most of the goals are NET and I don’t know if I shouldn’t bring up to my team if DTT goals might be better.

Should I practice blending in tips or is it okay if I skip that step?

I do my own gel x and I am too scared to use an electric file. I have been doing fine just not fully blending the tips and making do with a handheld file. I have good retention on my nails but I was wondering if looking into practicing with an efile would be worth it. You can tell that my nails aren't blended and there is an obvious bump but I don't really mind since I'd rather have that then an accidental ring of fire. Plus I do know an electric file would make removal so much easier but I've been managing fine so far even if removal takes forever.

Is this a bug?

I’m trying to get the hotel pony and I’ve done the task 10+ times but only have 4 ropes. When I claim the task I often dont get the rope. I previously thought high chance mean you’re guaranteed to get the token but I only get it less than half the time!

I hate it when my mom criticizes my driving when she would get arrested for how she drives.

I’m a pretty safe driver. The key is I’ve only been driving for about a year. My mom still treats me like I learned how to drive yesterday and will constantly explain basic traffic rules or narrate what I’m supposed to do. She will also not stop telling me to slow down (I rarely go above speed limit when she’s with me because I know what she’ll say and I’m often a bajillion light years away from the cars in front me). I would understand if she’s the perfect driver and I’m making mistakes but when she drives she’s on the line half the time, she will be 30+ miles above the speed limit, she never uses her blinker, and she is the most inconsiderate driver I’ve ever seen. I often become a worse driver in the car with her because of her constant talking about my driving and I can’t focus on doing anything.

Is it worth grinding more? Does she need any other stats?

She has her sig and is s2. GNot sure if it’s even worth trying to get better rolls but she is currently carrying my account since I’ve been very casual the past few months and my account is a mess. I also have Cantarella and qiuyuan.

How do I handle this?

I recently got a job as a BT and so far my clients have been angels. My newest client scares me though. They will often scratch me, grab me, hump me, jump on me, sit on me, grab my neck or head, sometimes choke me, and push/pull me down to the ground. I have repeatedly pushed them away, said "no thank you," tried to redirect them someplace else, and physically get myself out of the situation. My supervisors have told me to tell them to use "safe hands," give them a toy to distract them, and get myself out of the situation. Many times I cannot safely get myself out of the situation without either hurting myself or the client. Also my client has no idea what "safe hands" are/will not do them and will just throw whatever I try and distract them with and go back to the behavior.

I also have no idea how to prevent this behavior as sometimes they do it because they're happy and sometimes they do it because they don't like what I'm doing. I have started just constantly standing during session so I can easily get away and it's harder for them to do any behaviors. This does make it harder to get their goals in but I feel unsafe being so close to my client. I don't want to have to just suck it up since I have gotten hurt multiple times and have hit my head from falling a few times even though that is basically what my supervisors are basically telling me to do. I am also worried I'm just not meant to be a BT. I am scared to be around my client and I have been a lot less enthusiastic than with my other clients since I'm on edge.

My mom gets insanely mad when my room isn’t clean

My rooms sometimes gets messy when I’m busy or rushing out. By messy I mean just unorganized, my rooms never dirty. However if anything is left on my bed or my floor, my mom will threaten to throw it all out if I don’t clean it up within a few seconds. Often it might be right after a long day (which causes the mess) and I really would rather clean up the next day instead of stuff the mess elsewhere.

I might understand if I’m cluttering the rest of the house but it’s just my own room and my mom’s closet is very unorganized as well and it’s where she hides all her clutter. I’m not sure why I’m the one getting criticized especially when it’s my room, no one else is seeing it! Not sure how she expects me to keep my room clean when I grew up with her leaving everything messy until guests showed up.

First time I’ve ever got a pony from the quest chest

I usually end up with nothing good

I’m proud of myself

I’ve always had a bad relationship with my body image. I see other girls I know with amazing fit bodies. I know I could work towards their physique but I hate how overstimulated working out makes me. Because of that I instead changed my eating habits to the point where I had an ED. I’m going out to dinner in a satin dress and I’m actually proud that when I looked in the mirror and saw all the parts of my body that I don’t like, I thought “it’s normal to look like this” and didn’t try and hide it with a baggy jacket. This is probably the first time I felt beautiful without someone else telling me I am. I feel like I’ve always tried to model other women that I know or see online in terms of social behavior but also unintentionally tried to model how they look (I do believe in pretty privilege). It makes me happy that I all the work I’ve done to stop comparing myself and love myself is kinda working.

Is this self harm?

I often get really bad headaches to the point where I can’t even think. I stopped taking painkillers for them and now I just let myself be in pain. Because of my headaches I don’t do cat scratches anymore since I cant focus on anything.

First set ever

This is my first time doing gel x on myself. I’d love to get some feedback! I do know that 2(?) of my cuticles may be flooded and also it was really hard to get my right hands tips on (especially the thumb).

I don’t know what to do over the summer

I’m back home from college and I finally remembered why I hate being home so much after deluding myself into thinking my mom will be better. I’m depressed and have no energy because of our interactions which makes it hard to find the energy to hang out with my friends. Doesn’t help that my mom moved us 1-2 hours away from them once I graduated high school (didn’t even ask me) so making plans is a hassle for me especially since I also have work. I don’t want to be left out and I don’t want to be the friend that they stop inviting if I don’t show up but it’s also so hard to make plans myself because unless a lot of people are showing up my mom will either not let me go or make my life harder. I want to run away to my dad’s home (closer to where my friends live) but I have work…

I’m scared to even confront my mom about her behavior because she won’t be able to accept that she’s wrong. I can’t even socialize with the neighbors because my moms told them every embarrassing story about me and actively insults me in front of them.

Sculpted or natural apres tips?

2 of my nail beds are flat and 3 are curved. Should I just get the sculpted ones but would the gel be too thick on the flat nails? This is my first time trying to do gel x on myself so I’m really confused.
