Is the discrepancy between s2 ep9 (himels memories) and ep10 intended or what?

Near the end of ep9 they are crossing the lake and encounter a kraken, but dont get to defeat it that ep, in start of ep 10 they are suddenly debating on how to cross a ravine that has strong winds, did i miss something or what?

Seriously, why is no one talking about how ABSOLUTELY STUNNING the visuals are, from the monsters, to the outfits, to the environment, its all so gorgeous. Genuinely all props to the art team, i really hope this game succeeds
