10-year residence card rejected : how long could a Talent Passport be valid?

Hi everyone,

My friend has been living in France for 7.5 years and is currently a postdoc. His application for a 10-year residence card was rejected. The prefecture said it was because he received unemployment benefits through Pôle emploi for 8 months in 2023.

They told him they would give him a Talent Passport instead. Could he get a 4-year card, or would it only be valid until the end of his postdoc contract?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks.

Industry to Academia in France?

Hey all,
I just wanna ask, is it possible to move from industry to PhD in France if you don’t have much research experience?

I’m from a data/AI background and considering a PhD and want to research about how AI can be implemented in different analysis and visualisation etc, but most of my experience is industry-based.

Has anyone made this transition? How difficult was it?
Thank you💕

Hey guys, A Bengali girl in love needs your help 🥺.

Hello everyone. I'm a Bengali girl, and I have just started dating a Malayali, and I really want to surprise him by calling him something sweet in Malayalam.

I call him 'Kunju' now, but I feel like it would mean so much to him if I learned a few cute or unique phrases in Malayalam.

So please help me out by suggesting some sweet and unique things I can call my boyfriend?

Thank you in advance 🌸
