Despite being much smaller in terms of entrants compared to the other big event this weekend (Combo Breaker), this one has a much more stacked top end. Having three different top 10 players and supermajor winners, this is going to be a fight between them: CakeAssault, the GOAT and holder of the most ROA2 majors won. Stango, the Supernova champion. COMBO BREAKER is a 3-day video game festival and tournament series held each year over Memorial Day weekend. A convergence of culture and competition, CB has become one of the most well attended fighting game events in the world. Acting as the largest offline Rivals of Aether II tournament since Genesis, this is sure to be one to tune in for! Bbatts is the clear favorite to win, entering as the sole top 10 player. That said, players such as vibe, Landon, and Yoda Cage pilot characters who have given Bbatts trouble in the past, so who’s to say what will happen! It is unconfirmed if this event will count towards R2CS Season 2 (which has been slated to go public within the next week).

This is the largest update the workshop has gotten since launch in January! Interestingly, this is adding "Custom Items", which wasn't on the roadmap until the "further beyond" section. This will make a lot of characters ideas possible now

#Pit Stop 2026 | May 16th | Los Angeles, California

PIT STOP 2026 is a special one-day regional-level tournament hosted by Mogul Moves and Down Back Club! With free EVO 2026 passes to the first 50 attendees at the door, and a $5000 prize pool for the bracket itself, this is one of the bigger prize pools this game’s had. If you are in the area, spectators are welcome for FREE. Registration is only $1, and is open up until just before the event starts! Sophillo enters as the early favorite to win the event, with her arguably being the best in California, and without I0N to compete. That said, the rest of Calfironia absolutely has competition, with elkiies, sly, darai, Seelder, and Sawstep being able to take sets off her. This should absolutely be a fun watch!

Welcome to King 2026, the annual Spring regional tournament taking place in the University of New Jersey! With a $1000 prizepot, and enough talent to be considered a super regional, this is the largest event of this weekend. Bbatts enters as the clear favorite, being the sole top 10 player in attendance, with an incredibly dominant head to head over the field. Interestingly, a variety of the top 8 seeds are now piloting different characters than they did from last season, with CheesyPotato being on La Reina, Yoda Cage being on Absa, and who knows, maybe the HamPolo Galvan returns? Yet another online tournament we are highlighting for the week. This time, it is quite an odd format compared to most, as it is the second iteration of the Wisely Wars format! Each team is split into five parts: the coach, the expert player, the advanced player, the intermediate player, and the beginner player! The players will only be facing those within their own tier, which will then determine how well the team overall does. EVO registration codes are also given away during the event, so if you want to go, you should ABSOLUTELY watch to try your luck!

Be sure to tune in and support your favorite players or content creators! This is likely to be the most watched Rivals of Aether II event ever.
