Any Ford dealerships calling you to setup scheduled maintenance ?

I told the service advisor that called I would setup myself and would not like to be called about service or anything else that could be sent via email. Then he tried to talk about selling back the truck and purchase another, disgusted and hate the ford dealership model. Anyone else get cold calls like this ?

Thoughts on the term, "digital yard work"

To clarify, I don’t mean using AI for automated outdoor tasks like robotic lawnmowers. I mean the digital equivalent of traditional yard work. Since the Internet is considered a utility and often a need/mandate for the family, I find it my duty to keep things running in efficient manner. I'm talking about updating routers firmware, installing software updates on devices for the whole family. It becomes a chore once you have to maintain the entire network and devices, I find myself second guessing anything that connects to my network. Does anyone else call this 'digital yard work,' or is there another term for this kind of routine family tech upkeep? Thanks to all the dads who also have to play tech-support. Cheers

Found a new love with Peruvian beans

Been hitting up every local roaster in my area and found a new love. Haven’t drank a lot of Peruvian beans but this has been great for storage espresso and americanos. Does anyone else have other Peruvian bean recommendations. Thanks coffee nerds.

Anyone else amazed on how fast the sate can process your property tax each year?

Honestly, I'm in a strange conflict; impressed, disgusted, and emotionally distraught at the same time.

First batch of dahlias and snaps

Spotted lantern-flies has slowed down the growth of a lot of my plants this year in zone 7b. This is what I could clean up for a decent bouquet from this morning post rain storm clean up. Snaps pair well but are a challenge, but fun. Cheers

What are you doing to prepare for the incoming super El Niño ?

I setup more zones to my irrigation and shade cloth for raised beds. I really prepared for max flex ilirg and condensed my garden to manage the labor more. I’m worried about flooding in my area zone 7b.

Smoked pork bone in rib chops

Smoked indirect on a big green egg xl at 250 for an hour half, then seared directly like a steak. Wet brined over night, pat dry, season with honey hog and let it rest to get to room temp as the egg heats up. Royal oak and chunks of apple and cherry as fuel. Cheers
