on the left is a traditional family delicacy known as “cheese and crackers melted.” the dark brown circles are Siete chocolate cookies from Costco and no I did not dip them in the hummus.

[fit check] Bravissimo Millie 34FF

In my last post, folks confirmed I should be looking for a smaller cup than a 34GG and pointed me toward the Bravissimo Millie, especially based on my desire to find a bra with a shorter side wing height. Here she is! This is 34FF. I also included photos of the Ultimate Comfort Plunge in 34FF. Measurements are 34 loose, 33 snug, 32 tight, 42 standing, 43.5 leaning, 40 lying. I think I am full on bottom and center-full.

Both of these bras are MUCH more comfortable and I could imagine tolerating them for longer periods of time. I notice I'm not quite filling out the upper cup in either one (actually, looking more closely at the pictures, I see the lower cup on the Millie is also not filled out) and also have a "strap gap." Thoughts on sizing down to a 34F, other observations?

Wait time for library cards?

There's an active post in r/dataisbeautiful comparing cost of non-resident cards to wait times. I have never heard of a wait time for a library card. Does your library have a wait time? Does it apply to non-resident cards only?

Pre-menstrual sensory issues

I don’t think this falls into the PMDD category because it doesn’t feel particularly emotional, but I’m on my possibly last cycle day and I am so over the amped up sensory issues.

My skin is crawling and everything touching me feels intolerably itchy. My nerves feel itchy from the inside. My joints feel achy, my muscles feel weak and no amount of wedging is giving me enough resistance. I am tired of holding up my head. I just want to fall asleep and wake up when I’m bleeding.

Anyone else deal with this? Anything you’ve found to help? I already did resistance exercise (Pilates class) this morning. As much as I am not looking forward to peri … I am reallllllly over doing this every 23 days (😭).

Office chair swap?

I have a Steelcase Gesture and I’m coming around to realizing it’s just not the right fit for me. I’m wondering if anyone has a chair of similar quality, about which you’ve come to a similar conclusion, and would be interested in a swap.

Where to go from here? Panache Ana 34GG

Last week, you all reassured me that if my bra fits, it CAN be comfortable! Probably.

So, I ordered the Panache Ana in 34GG based on my current measurements in the calculator (just a note, I took these measurements late luteal... right now standing and leaning are about 1/2" smaller): 34 loose, 33 snug, 32 tight, 42 standing, 43.5 leaning, 40 lying.

Fit pics: https://postimg.cc/gallery/2vtZDrt - the last pic is trying to show how much excess fabric there is in the upper cup, like I can fit my whole hand in without stretching the fabric.

Comfort issues: wires poking underarms; bottom of wires across ribs uncomfortable; straps feel unstable/in the wrong place on shoulder; lace is itchy.

The band didn't overall feel too tight but it felt like the wires do not at all conform to the shape of my body. I'm 5'3" and pretty short-waisted/feels like my boobs are close to my collarbones (no such thing as an appropriate v-neck top for me) - could this have something to do with it, like the wires are too "tall"? Where do folks suggest I go from here?

ETA: after perusing the wiki, I believe my shape is full on bottom and center-full. Possibly narrow roots.

Is A Bra That Fits necessarily comfortable?

I’m reasonably confident I’ve been wearing A Bra That Fits (32F, determined using the calculator and perusing this sub and the bratabase in detail). However, I still feel like I want to rip it off the moment I get home. I got an elastic band extender which helped somewhat, but it also came with the predictable consequence of my band slipping down. Am I in fact likely not wearing A Bra That Fits, or do I just hate underwire bras?

(Other possibly salient facts, I have a lot of immediate projection and my best fitting bra is a Gorsenia. I also have a lot of center volume and am prone to quad-boobing)

ETA: ok ok you guys just dig right into details! My measurements are 34 loose, 33 snug, 32 tight, 42 standing, 43.5 leaning, 40 lying. I’m not sure what model my Gorsenia is but I’ll try to post a pic in the comments if I can. It‘s a 70F. I’ll also try to post pics of Panache Cari in 32F … I picked this one after reading everything this sub had to say about “I have a lot of projection but want a rounded/minimized shape.”

Bras that haven’t worked include the Cari in 34E and 32FF, Fantasie smoothing seamless balcony bra in 32F and 32FF, Panache Ana in 32FF, Freya spacer t-shirt bra & Freya Deco in 32FF.

What is uncomfortable is typically the wires and gore, although just having a firm band around my ribs is fairly intolerable as well.

second edit: I have ordered an Ana in 34GG, I will report back in a new thread. You people are amazing and passionate :)

Little guy never grows

My kid got this plant about a year ago from their teacher (likely a baby of a classroom plant) and it keeps making new leaves, but never seems to get bigger.

It lives with a gang of succulents so probably hasn't been getting as much water as it needs, but I recently stepped up to daily watering and it doesn't seem to have made a difference (I also live in an arid climate). It lives in a south-facing window where it gets 12+ hours of indirect sunlight, some direct sunlight in the winter. It's in a basic houseplant soil mix I got from a local independent garden center.

What does it want from me!? (Also, do you know what it is?)

Games/puzzles that don’t get old

So, I was looking for a book of puzzles that I can do alongside my kids when they’re doing word searches and stuff. I stumbled on this “Murdle” thing that’s apparently an online craze and the first one was fun, but they're all the same. I had an aha moment there that this is why I find games like Catan painfully boring … once I figure out the game mechanic, optimizing it doesn’t engage my curiosity.

I enjoy jigsaw puzzles but when I have one going it becomes a little too compulsive for me. Probably the most fun puzzle I’ve ever done was a “puzzle box” that was a cube with something to figure out on each side… but it still has no replay value for me.

Curious if others have games/puzzles that offer enough continuing problem solving to be interesting … or ideas for how to engage curiosity within a known game mechanic. (I think this is also why I like social games like Code Names or Mafia type games, because the problem solving depends more on the unique alchemy)

Why is the world so full of artificial fragrances!!

I’m staying at a hotel for a conference and there’s no escaping the artificial smells 24/7. I should not have to sleep in an artificial smell zone! I feel like this is probably a if part of why my sensory overwhelm level is automatically at like 60% throughout the travel experience. Similar to how I can now book a silent appointment for my haircut, can the world please come up with fragrance sensitive hotel rooms?
