Shipping a Laptop - USPS Packaging Instruction 9D

I'm looking for clarification regarding shipping laptops and the "required" UN sticker on the outside. I don't ship many of these, maybe one every couple months. My interpretation of the 9D instructions I linked is that I don't need the UN sticker if the following criteria is met:

- Battery is installed properly in its intended device

- Device is not damaged

- I am only dropping off one parcel of this type

- The battery has 4 or fewer cells

That info is found in the link under the heading "Marking." However it goes on to say that with a used device, I need to write "Restricted Electronic Device" and "Surface Transportation Only." I only ship laptops with Ground Advantage.

Every thread on here that I read states the UN sticker is required. Maybe I am misinterpreting the 9D page but it sounds like I only need to write those phrases on the box?

I'm asking this independent of the eBay label generator where I select the hazardous option for lithium batteries, I know that is required. I'm strictly asking about the UN sticker.

Vsett 9+ sitting for 3 years

My Vsett 9+ dual motor with the 19.2v LG battery has been sitting for likely 3 years now untouched and never plugged in. I don't know what the charge level it was left at. I've been reading about the likelihood of it being okay and the dangers that could come from charging it. I just want to assess it and see if I want to keep it or sell it. It probably only had a few hundred miles on it.

Should I even try to charge it or just consider the battery toast? I would definitely do it outside and monitor it closely. I've read that people recommend checking voltage on each cell inside. I've used a multimeter plenty of times but never worked on a big lithium battery like this. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Michael Chandler is a good bet at +500, here's why

"This one is for me" - Chandler

I am ready to be clowned for this take, but this line is off. Even if Chandler gets KO'd early, it's still off. There are too many reasons why Chandler could make this a fight like Ruffy has yet to experience. I give Chandler a 25% chance to win this fight so it's an easy one unit play on the ML.

Key reasons I think this:

- Chandler openly admits that he chases bonuses over making sound decisions in the octagon. He has excellent wrestling that he often refuses to use, instead he tries to punch out the legends he faces. The video I linked above is him literally telling the world, I don't care how this fight looks, I want to win. There are rumors he will retire after this fight. We are going to see a serious gameplan.

- Chandler's chin is fine. None of his five KO losses did he actually go to sleep out cold. They are all the result of him being hurt and then not intelligently defending. We've never seen him get binked like Bobby Green did and go out cold. People are talking like Ruffy is this one punch KO guy, when in reality all his wins are TKOs. Bobby Green was a KO but it was a kick.

- Chandler's striking differential of -0.48 SLpM is against elite competition. Ruffy sits at just +0.10 SLpM against only decent competition on average. The volume on the feet will not be one sided. Chandler has fought long range strikers and was not shook, he walked forward and ate shots undeterred and took them down.

- Ruffy stands way too upright and lingers in the pocket after throwing, which is a takedown opportunity. Another one is that he has terrible movement to get off the cage. Rather than circling out when he gets pressured, he will just stand there with the cage a couple feet behind and try to throw. Chandler's best takedowns come from when his opponent gets stuck near the cage.

- Ruffy's 85% TDD stat is a mirage. I'm not going to break down each shot he's defended, but they were all unserious and executed by poor grapplers. The one exception being BSD who did make that his gameplan and destroyed him. If Ruffy has to think about defending takedowns, his output completely changes. Chandler has excellent entries, he gets nice and low, and will throw you if he locks his hands.

Here are my notes if you care to indulge.

Thoughts on Tapering Usage BEFORE CHS Hits

Edit: I guess I'm the only person that gets CHS when stopping cold turkey?

Obviously once CHS symptoms START, you have to stop smoking. If you are continuously vomiting and keep smoking you will stay sick. I am not refuting that, this is consensus advice.

But does that apply to everyone who is ACTIVELY USING and experiencing no symptoms, but want to avoid CHS? For me, quitting cold turkey has INDUCED CHS multiple times now, hence why I made this post. To discuss the distinction of the "cold turkey" advice. And I'm not confusing it with typical THC withdrawal, I was glued to the shower. I've had CHS multiple times from the more typical triggers of not eating or sleeping, I know for a fact cold turkey induced CHS in me.

___________

I've been through CHS 4-5 times in my life now. I know how to manage it well, the last time it happened I got out of it in 6 days and only puked once or twice.

I want to talk about tapering off THC before CHS hits. Everyone here knows that continuing to smoke while going through CHS is stupid and only prolongs the symptoms. So in most of the discussions on here about tapering people say it's a hard no.

But I wonder if anyone has had success in tapering usage off before any symptoms start arriving? My girlfriend just went through a severe bout of CHS and I'm looking to quit permanently this time. Given my success in managing the outbreak myself last time, I want to see if it's possible to not get it at all this time.

In theory if I take 6 hits of whatever my THC of choice is each day, couldn't I taper that off slowly and reduce the THC level in my body? I'm thinking I'll start with only 5 hits/day for a week, then drop down to 4, 3, etc.

Anyone had success with this and if so, any tips?

Gates timing belt kit for 2.0

Couple questions for anyone who has recently done a timing belt replacement on the 2.0 with a Gates kit as I'm looking to do so on my Elantra XD:

- Is the water pump good or bad in the gates kit? I've heard gates water pumps aren't OEM and can be hit or miss. Any recommendations for different water pump brands?

- Is there a way to tell the date of manufacture on the Gates kit? It seems like there is a PO # on the outside of the box in the format of "PO H 7 19" or "PO K 2 10" which I assume is the month and year? I'm trying to snipe a cheap kit on eBay but want to get one that isn't decades old and dry rotted.

Thanks!
