I was talking with this older couple today, and we got into the topic of marriage. I asked them what they thought was the biggest thing that keeps a marriage strong after so many years.

The husband said :

Dont try to win every argument, sometimes being happy together is more important than proving that you’re right.

Honestly, that was pretty simple, but it really made me think.

Before marriage i always thought that the most exciting part of married life will be those 2-3 days of marriage.

But now I realised that it wasn't. It was those small moments we spent together without any relatives and parents, completely alone, making even the smallest things like cooking together, making jokes on each other, giving hugs without any reason, the most exciting things.

Imo it's like this bcz of our expectations, we always think that marriage will be the best moment thats why we don't feel it that way, but we never imagine that how those small things will feel like and that's why they feel unreal.

Basically me and my partner are going to have half a year completed of our marriage.

So i thought i should gift her something. In my mind I'm thinking it should be a dress or something.

But the thing is I don't know much about women's clothing.

And also I have seen her in every outfit like half, full so I don't know about her specific type, also I don't want to ask from her bcz I want to keep it a surprise.

I am working in a software company for 5 years, and from the 1st year of my job, i started dating my co worker, I liked her vibe soo much that its been 4 years of our relationship now.. But somewhere I feel like our relationship don't feel like what other co workers relationship are. Basically we are too good with each other - no jealousy , no fights and also not bored...

I'm just excited to know if a normal relationship with co workers feel the same or not.
