Let me tell you the 8 worker patch is actually amazing

Since I uninstalled SC2 I got around to painting my warhammer miniatures, fixed my ceiling fan and got a new dog, now that I have all this time I take him for a walk every day. Thank you truly Blizzard.

Do we know which models are used for ai chat?

What was the last one that was used? I want to try to run it locally, this new ai model is nearly unusable.

Will be returning samsung s26, need something that isn't awful

S26 has as worse a camera as my nearly 10 year old samsung s10's smart phone. Unfocused, blurry photos closeup or dark. Unusably tiny status bar, 1mm so I'm straining my vision just viewing what time it is. And of course no headphone jack.

Don't need something with completely cutting edge specs, but something with a step up from the S10 and it's camera, a headphone jack would be ideal but not necessary. I'm thinking to maybe try a google pixel 10. Thanks.

How can we run something like perchance ai text chat locally?

I love perchance but nothing is forever. I like the UI, and most of all that you can retroactively edit any part of the chat/story history, and also that you can instantly load a previous chat from an offline file. Unmatched.

Is there any way I could run something like the ai text chat on a 1060? I can buy more ram if need be. Even if its a bit slow I don't mind.

The secret deal that Blizzard broke tournaments with

This definitely is an open secret within the community, but that old post was misleading. What actually happened in the past, as you know, such as in 2023 ESL took over full funding, and that continued until 2026.

When Blizzard stopped funding the tournament circuit in 2023, ESL took over full financial responsibility, which is why prize pools shrunk (but were still in the hundreds of thousands). ESL was paying for everything. When EWC, ESL's parent company took over, they did the same-they were funding 95%+/100% of the sc2 tournament scene.

So what happened this year? EWC went again to Blizzard wanting to help and host sc2 tournaments (because due to Blizzard's clause, if you ever host an sc2 tournament with a prize bigger than $25,000) you have to pay blizzard a bunch of licensing fees and do a bunch of legal stuff. This year though, Blizzard said it wasn't enough that they pay for and host tournaments-they also demanded EWC also fully fund a circuit. EWC said no, and were also tired of how extremely difficult blizzard is to work with, and the deal ended up getting cancelled.

The post about Blizzard and EWC was completely wrong.
