what is this verse from rhinestone eyes supposed to reference?

i’ve always loved rhinestone eyes and wondered what it could possibly be about, especially those last two lines of this verse. who’s she? why’d she say taxi? what light does it shed and on what?

i really like the way it all goes so well together and sounds perfect.

does sleeping 3 hours every night for 6 months straight make your skin permanently darker/ pigmented?

During my first year of college (last year), I stayed in a dorm on my college campus for about six months.

I shared the room with three other girls, all of whom had different sleep schedules and set multiple alarms that would go off throughout the night. We had a number of confrontations (I mostly begged them not to), but it was all in vain. None of them ever bothered doing anything about it.

This started affecting my sleep a lot, as I'd wake up in terror every single time (I've had somewhat sensitive sleep my whole life). So I bought a sleep mask and noise-cancelling headphones to help, and honestly, they made quite the difference. But then, as soon as any of them woke up, they would start cleaning the room, calling their friends on the phone, or just creating unnecessary ruckus for no reason whatsoever, which would inevitably wake me up and once they realized I was a light sleeper, they'd purposely disturb me anytime they could.

Two of the three of them hated me solely because I came from a different cultural background than they did, which sucked. I suffered so much.

I tried everything to change rooms, but we had a crappy administration and no vacancies, so there was nothing that could be done. I couldn't afford to stay off campus, so I decided to just pray to God and hope for the best.

There was one loophole though: all of them slept between 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., so that was the exact window during which I got to sleep. But it really, really wasn't enough. I was miserable, hooked on caffeine, constantly having palpitations and anxiety, and could barely function.

Cut to now: I moved to a different place in December last year and have been getting much better sleep. But I've noticed that my skin has

become significantly darker ever since, and l've developed a lot more pigmentation on my face, even though I've been wearing sunscreen regularly for the past three years, and it's been the winter months anyway. i had pale skin but now it's darker and tan and I really don't know why besides, of course, the months of severe sleep deprivation I went through, as irregular sleep and sleep deprivation affect melatonin production resulting in increased melanin secretion hence, darker skin and hyperpigmentation. if so, i was wondering whether it's temporary or reversible?

or is it irrelevant and not related?

what should i place here?

so this is our master bedroom wall and my dad wants to put up a family portrait here that spans across the wall but i don’t think it’s gonna look good right above the bed.

what do you guys think?

it does have led light strips framing the insides so should we just leave it as is?
