Wanted to stress the concept of “icon” a little bit more and tried to pull of plywood. It worked. Almost perfectly.

This is 4mm plywood with Amsterdam colors and a Gelelf plate.

I just finished setting everything up for the exhibition. As I already said, the bar is a super typical 1980s Milanese bar, nothing fancy, but I am super happy!

Partendo da openstreetmap ho applicato un tema personalizzato e l’ho poi trasformato in una stampa al gel (chi non conosce la tecnica ed è curioso può dare un’occhiata qui: r/gelliprinting ). Il logo è quello usato dal Comune di Baggio fino agli anni ‘20 quando venne inglobato nella grande Milano fascista.

Non sono certo che si possa, al limite i moderatori interverranno, ma vorrei segnalare che da lunedì 18 maggio, per due settimane, alcune mie stampe (non questa, ma quelle della serie “icons”) saranno esposte al Bar Moccia in via Nikolajevka sempre a Baggio. Non vi inviterei ad andarci apposta, ma se siete in zona e volete prendere un caffè se fate un salto mi fa piacere :)

A gel printed map of my neighborhood, based on Open Street Map maps. The logo is the original emblem from before the 1920s when Baggio was an autonomous city. The huge dark area at the top of the map is the “Parco delle Cave”, one of the largest public parks in Milan
