toon-shaded spaceship drifting through an asteroid field, rendered live in three.js

i made this — been getting deep into toon shaders in three.js, such a great aesthetic for scifi and it runs well in the browser. custom shader for the cel look, procedural asteroid field, no baking, everything live. happy to answer questions about the setup.

Built this cockpit-heavy browser dogfighting prototype for VibeJam

This is Null Range, a free browser-based sci-fi dogfighting multiplayer game I built during April for VibeJam.

Playable here: https://nullrange.com

I’m working on more ship types and weapon types next. Right now I’m especially tuning the first few minutes: controls, combat readability, and whether the HUD feels immersive or too visually dense.

Would love feedback!!

Solo-built a browser dogfighting game for VibeJam

I built Null Range during April for VibeJam: a free sci-fi dogfighting multiplayer game that runs directly in the browser.

Play it here: https://nullrange.com

This was a solo month-long build. I used AI coding tools for implementation, refactors, and wiring systems together, tried to focus on the HUD and UI to make it feel more polished.

I’d love feedback on the first few minutes: did the controls click, did you understand what to do, and what would make the next session more compelling?

I built Null Range during April for VibeJam as a free browser-based multiplayer dogfighting game.

It has low-altitude flight, lasers, radar, cockpit voice lines, and a sci-fi HUD-heavy vibe. No download needed, just open it in a modern browser.

I’m still improving the onboarding, combat readability, and future ship/weapon variety, so any first-session feedback is hugely useful.

I built Null Range during April for VibeJam: a free in-browser sci-fi dogfighting multiplayer game with low-altitude flight, lasers, radar, ship systems, and a crunchy sci-fi HUD.

I used AI coding tools alongside my background in UI design and 3D to get it playable in a month. My wife recorded the ship voice lines, which gave the cockpit way more character than I expected.

I’m planning more ship types and weapon types next, but I’d love feedback on the first session: controls, onboarding, combat readability, and what would make you come back for a second round.
