The berry tree in our yard has pissed us off for more than a decade, spreading berries everywhere and staining everything anywhere close to our yard. Since learning they were mulberries and edible, I've made a Kringle with them every year. This year, I decided to step it up a bit and we hosted our first Mulberry brunch. Homemade mulberry syrup with lemon ricotta pancakes, mulberry danish, and mulberry mojitos! No mulberries in the quiche :)
Basement got flooded with sewage, so we're starting completely fresh. This is about the footprint we're thinking of, with a chaise on the left side (which should keep the room feeling a bit more open) and a loveseat with an arm on the right. TV will be on the wall along the bottom. There's more room behind the sectional, but we have a column there that constrains what we can do a bit.
Budget is about $4500. Ideally, super comfy. Like the kind you sink into almost. We have two teenagers who are going to be the primary users. We do have a dog, but he doesn't go down there much. We don't care about recliners, nor do we want to plug our sofa in :)
Suggestions for places to look that will stay within budget and isn't complete crap? Ideally, places with Chicago area showrooms so we can sit on an example and check it out...
I just learned about DCC a month or two ago and have been cranking through the Audiobooks. No joke, my favorite listening experience ever. I thought Project Hail Mary was good. Harry Potter full cast was pretty awesome. But neither of them can hold a candle to Jeff Hays. And now the end is looming... and I won't be able to continue on to Book 9 immediately... and I don't want it to end.
My wife just finished Book 1. Would it be weird to start relistening immediately after finishing, and catch up to her so we can talk about it as she progresses???
Ramps and morels were foraged locally, eggs are from my friend's chickens and my wife made the sourdough.
