Anyone have this issue?

This happens to me about once a week the last month - temp is set at 77. Instead of turning off at the set point, it keeps cooling.

Overcool is not turned on, humidity in range. Fan on auto. Display shows the temp is set at 77, current temp 75 and still running. (When it hits 75 is when I realize it's too cold in the house)

The only way to make it stop cooling when it does this is to turn the AC off for a minute and then turn it back on.

AC had a tune up last week and I asked the tech about it, he had never heard of this before. Ideas? A setting I could try changing, or should I just replace the Ecobee?

Hit salary cap

Edited to remove potentially identifying info without a dirty delete. Appreciate everyone's feedback.

Where I currently work, I'm at the top of my pay scale at 120k. While I'm happy enough with my current employer, I'm not willing to accept never getting a raise again and intend to update my resume and start looking for a new position. I have been fully remote since long before COVID and do not want to relocate, so a new employer would need to allow me to stay remote.

Togetherness

I didn't notice this vine climbed into the obscura until this morning. Loving how the peduncles bloomed together!

Such contrast!

The skin on the grafts is SO dark compared to any other obesum I have. Makes me wonder if they came from an arabicum hybrid.

Finally, some green!

I posted this to Desert Rose earlier so apologies if you're seeing it twice, I'm excited 🤣. This DR has been putting out nothing but albino leaves this year. I moved it by the lanai a few weeks ago intending to chop, but never got around to it. Instead of getting full sun all day, it's now only getting morning sun and chlorophyll has returned to the building. Starting to see more and more green, and the white leaves aren't dying off. Going to hold off on cutting and leave it where it is to see what happens.

Chlorophyll has entered the building!

This year my variegated DR decided all new growth should be full albino. I intended to cut it back and hope for green, moved to the door next to the lanai so I wouldn't forget, and forgot anyway. After a few weeks of sitting in way less light I started getting green again and the albino leaves stopped dying off. Go figure!

For water heater repair, they wanted a tip

Our water heater died, it's just under 2 years old. I called for warranty service and they came out today. He tells me it's finished and going to email me the invoice to pay online. So we're standing there together and I get the email.... There is a place for a tip and suggested percentages.

Since when are we expected to tip repairman?! They were here less than an hour, over $200 cost for labor on a hot water heater that's under warranty, and they want a tip?!?!

Space out contributions or load up early?

I hope to retire in 9-10yrs and for various reasons, way behind where I should be in my retirement accounts. I received a small inheritance that I want to get into tax advantaged space. IRA and HSA already full. Inheritance currently sitting in MMF in a taxable account.

I'm able to have up to 100% of my paycheck contributed to my 401k. HR has confirmed It doesn't matter when I hit the max amount, payroll deductions will stop at that time and I'll get the full employer 6% match. My thought is to bump up my paycheck contributions as high as possible, and live off the inheritance money instead of my paycheck for awhile.

What is the downside to this idea? What am I not considering?

I'm trying to add some color to my neutral living room via curtains. The left two panels are what I'm replacing. The right two panels are what I thought would look good but now I'm not so sure how I feel about them. 3 windows, 4 panels, one between each window. The blinds are never opened and the curtains are never closed, the second picture is pretty much how they will look after I fix the middle brackets so thee rod is straight again. (Tip: remember to loosen the brackets before trying to take your curtain rod off. Oops!).

I can't decide how I feel about these curtains. Realizing I might regret asking the Reddit community at large, do you like these curtains or do they scream "I bought these from Amazon"?

JJ'S Essence was disappointing it's first few years in my yard but is making up for it now. Large blooms that last a long time. JJ Mojito remains my favorite of the many JJ varieties. When it's hot and that starburst comes out it's just beautiful.
