I ask this because I'm curious. a big older debate I remember hearing back in the day was that if Eden in fallout three was actually a sentient machine with feelings, thoughts, and the ability to move past it's programming (evidently considering his self distruct code works, no on the end)
the big difference between if he's sentient or not, is that primarily people think he's just parroting dialogue at the player with no real understanding of it. I'd say he is understanding and able to have a conversation, but I'm able to have a full conversation with Claude and that doesn't exactly mean Claude is sentient. on the other end, people point to that Eden can independently talk to the player character without prompt in the holding cells, (though he wasn't smart enough to immediately notify the guard to release you without incident)

I played survivalist and died twenty minutes in, first time in years I've played.
Basically here's the situation: I bought a wiiu for cheap that had an unspecified issue, besides the Sellers porn being bookmarked on the device (??????) the console runs fine. When I Modded with Aroma, the device worked great and I backed up the 32 GB Nand in parts or the mlc to my PC.
I then attempted to set up pretendo as the guide for Wiiu setup is a bit weird and just ends abruptly, so when I tried to make a NNID, it informed me there was a password on the device in parental controls. I clicked parental controls and was immediately hit with an error upon hitting forgot pin. And now every subsequent pin attempt does the same. So I'm guessing the NAND is startijg to fail:
My main concerns: there's a guide for this, I don't mean to be rude but both guided to install https://gbatemp.net/threads/fixing-system-memory-error-160-0103-failing-emmc-without-soldering-using-rednand-with-isfshax.642268/ rednand and shax are extremely confusingly worded and I don't feel safe messing with something that could potentially brick the console. Is there a better guide to get both of these setup?

Bought a wiiu bundle for 36$, apparently the console has some unspecified issue but the pad is working and in great condition. it comes with the dock, charger, and everything working. What, generally, should be the first thing I do besides the usual making sure everything works? looking for advice.

I don't like the four of them much. I know it's a bit of a meme Starlo and Ceroba get massive amounts of attention, but my main issue is I feel like the four are extremely selfish people in comparison to how Starlo and Ceroba have irrational yet semi understandable reasons for acting the way they do towards Clover, compared to the four where they come at Clover with legitimate killing intent gleefully.
The main issue I primarily have with them is that out of everyone, it feels like a really narratively weak moment in the game where they decide that Clover is the issue and not Starlo pushing his friends away to an extreme amount which they don't vocalize to him personally.
It feels like a weird moment because they're the ones that essentially kidnapped you, threw martlet in jail in the swe l t e r I n g desert, yet they blame Clover for being the talk of the town when they didn't ask for this whole thing, Martlet repeatedly asks them to let you both leave except they don't. yet THEY get pissed the attention is on you. Ceroba even points this out later her describing Starlo and them all being intense.
Starlo has a pretty big issue with maturity, and Ceroba is lying to the player, bug the difference is they have reasons and explanations why they did it. The four don't really have a reason other than "alright then time to wack this kid"
I feel like they exist ultimately to make Ceroba a better character by recognizing Clover probably wasn't having a great time with them, and to cause drama with Starlo until everything is made up.
it's also worse if you die in the scene you actually just straight up die like there's no fail condition like Papyrus has so they're WILLING TO FULLY KILL YOU for this. I don't like how the scene plays out and their dialogue in the fight, it makes them really unlikable for me.
I'm writing a fic that focuses on intimacy without necessarily romantic intent. While going thru the editing phase, the end of the first chapter has this:
"-Pink shut the lights off, and exited her room slowly.
"I need to go talk with- about this."
How exactly would you personally imagine she addresses Maddie? I don't really picture Pink calls her Maddie because that's a fan term. And I don't really picture she says "My Ghost" either as that would sound strange.
