As an Iranian, I hate how ancient Persians are depicted in 300 and movies like it. It's racist and there isn't enough hate around it.

I obviously know it's a fantasy movie, but that doesn't mean it should be excused. It's utterly racist. What would the world do/say if a movie depicted Africans as giant grunting gorillas, and used the "it's fantasy" excuse? People would be fired, studios would apologize, and boycotts would happen. It didn't happen with 300, because Western audiences are okay with Eastern racism. Iran has been painted as this evil land for decades and this movie is part of that propaganda. It's disgusting and needs way more hate than it gets.

Is this media I found worth archiving? [talk]

I found a VHS tape of the Iranian movie بوی بهشت (Scent of Paradise) released in 2002, that has bonus features like commentary, BTS, and interviews. None of those bonuses are archived online, but the movie itself is. I have an old VHS player but I have no way of digitizing this. It can be really expensive here, in Iran, and I'm not really doing well financially. I can buy the tape, because it's cheap, but I won't be able to digitize it. So is it even worth it? Even if I digitize the tape, it'll just be a low effort 20 minute BTS.
