Rural Australia internship- what’s it like? 🕷️?

Hi! To medical graduates who got the internship in rural Australia , I’d like to ask what the living conditions are like there, esp in terms of insects. coz I’m awfully scared of spiders just by the sight of them. I heard it’s quite common in houses in Australia, esp in rural areas. Is it true? I heard u see snakes more commonly too? Are they venomous? And I’d like to hear any other heads-up!

I might be studying med at Monash Malaysia, and as an IMG, I read that my chances at an internship is only to go rural. hope to hear sth. thanks lots!

ZJU or Monash Malaysia medicine. Need some perspective n advice!

Hi! I got a full medicine offer from Monash Malaysia and Zhejiang University, China. I’m having a real hard time deciding between the two, so would appreciate some advice from seniors familiar with either uni!

A major perk of Monash Malaysia is that I can go on to do the foundation year training in Australia after graduating in Malaysia ? I am an international so I know I def cannot stay in Malaysia, but I read we can work in Australia without taking its license exam anymore. For China, since it’s not much possible to work as a non-Chinese, I’ll have to sit exams in other countries like UKMLA, USMLA, wherever I decide on later.

However, in addition to this, could someone familiar with either one of this school share their experience and advice, so I can make a more informed decision? I dun mind the cost factors, but I’m concerned about the teaching quality, resources, recognition after graduation, local lifestyle, etc. Thank you! I really need it.

Thank you! I really need ur advice.

I get that all hku applicants meet the admissions requirements n have exceptional ECs, so the interview matters a lot. but if i didn’t do very well, can i still hope for a chance?? if anyone experienced sth similar.

I’m naturally a very quiet person n esp in groups I don’t talk a lot, so in the group interview i could only contribute my point once. And when introducing myself, i couldn’t go in-depth with all my experiences n just talked about why i chose the program—how it supports a specific postgrad study I was gonna pursue.🥲 can my supercurriculars n personal statement help at this point🥹 Did everyone who got in did quite well in ur interviews?

not crying over spilt milk but would love to hear sth!❤️

I’ve been to Beijing n I like the lifestyle there, but I’m quite concerned about Yiwu. Is the public transportation efficient like in big cities, with metro? Is the city very small? How is it like going around the city, like the places and facilities, and can we go out at night, too? The lifestyle and environmental matter to me so I’d really love some feedback from Yiwu residents and ZJU students. 谢谢!

Hii! i recently got an offer for MBBS at Zhejiang uni. I’ve applied for HKU and CUHK as well, n i was shortlisted for interview at HKU tmr.

So what I wanna ask is how difficult it is to get into ZJU. ok a heads up- I’m not judging a uni’s prestige by its admissions- I’m just curious coz I know what its like to get into different unis in the UK or Sg or Australia, but I have no idea of ZJU’s exact reputation n prestige. I wanted to apply for Fudan, but I applied late in March, beyond its application deadline.

My stats : I’ve got 3A* in A lvls with 98-99th percentile scores, two highest mark in the country awards with other supercurriculars n shadowing, ECs.
