Can someone help me recreate this look?

I’m not sure where to start looking for the jacket, belt, or watch specifically. I’d assume none of these were expensive but no clue on brands.

What’s up with this slide? Is this but normal?

I’m not sure if there’s an official term for this lower end of the slide where it’s got the guide rod/spring channel. I noticed it wasn’t flush and when I stripped the pistol it almost looks like it was added later. I’m not super well versed in 1911s so I’m just curious if this is normal. I don’t mind it too much, it’s just catching on my cleaning rags/paper towels.

Guns.com “Certified Used”, trigger pulls with the safety on

I was thinking of sending it to Springfield anyway for a refinish after previous owner buffed the slide into a 2-tone for some god awful reason. Guess it’s going sooner than I thought.

What’s your favorite spot in Chicagoland that has a good selection of new and used?

Range USA and Bass Pro are fine, but which spots are worth checking out for their stock? Midwest Guns in Lyons was pretty legit. Anywhere you’d recommend?

Would you grab a new Garrison for $750 or a 1979 Series 70 for $1,000

Kinda torn between going new or vintage. I would need to add an ambi safety to either as a left handed shooter. Is the beavertail on the Garrison a difference maker? Are the Novak style sights?

Help Diagnose a Toilet Leak

I’m finding a small amount of water near the base of my toilet. It appears to only be on the inner side of the base at about 11 o’clock if you’re sitting on the toilet. I slid a paper towel underneath and it was only wet in that one spot. There was no water further towards the center underneath. It appears to be clean water.

It has a new wax ring that’s only weeks old. Was it maybe the wrong size? Could it be a tank to toilet leak? Condensation?

Also it does not seem to be related to flushing.

UPDATE: I did a food dye experiment and it appears to be tank water. What now?

Finding the Source of a Toilet Leak

I’m finding a small amount of water near the base of my toilet. It appears to only be on the inner side of the base at about 11 o’clock if you’re sitting on the toilet. I slid a paper towel underneath and it was only wet in that one spot. There was no water further towards the center underneath. It appears to be clean water.

It has a new wax ring that’s only weeks old. Was it maybe the wrong size? Could it be a tank to toilet leak? Condensation?

Also it appears to not be related to flushing. It happens regardless.
