is there a folklore overlap with the scandinavian werefolf, Dinee and Algonquin folklore (Wendigo/witigo and the Skinwalker)

Hello there everyone so I've been a folklore nerd for a good bit and after trying to do a deep dive into first nations folklore and specifcally the witigo spirit and how it was described I could not help but notice some major overlaps with Algonquin and Dinee folklore with the idea of a ulveham wolf skin being needed for a transformation alongside the taboos of murder and cannibalism. I can't help but see some similarities with the above mentioned first nations folkelore beings. So I want to hear what people who are alot more learned than me think, am I grasping at straws?

Can you kill a skinwalker

So this is a very stupid question most likely, but one inspired by multiple different videos that have given different ideas and answers. So is there any non spiritual way to kill a skinwalker?

long ranger modifications

Hey yall I've been considering getting into the henry long ranger for a while but the low magazine capacity has turned me off it alot, does anyone know how hard it would be to have a gunsmith/custom levergun maker modify the rifle to take AR 10 magazines and or stanag mags if I end up with a 223/5.56 rifle.

Kind regards :)

the ultimate ruger american gen 2 scout

So to have a good can go everywhere gun, I've been considering getting my hands on a ruger american gen 2 scout as the title gave away. But I am a bit unsure of where to find a good aftermarket traditional stock or ar like chassi for it that allows for it to still be light and handy also in terms of what upgrades would make sense as for replacing the irons and upgrades to the bolt and trigger as I also wanna use it for feild shooting(felt skydning) where semis are not allowed. What upgrades do yall think are most vital to make, to give the ruger gen 2 scout the final push into greatnes!

GRS in Denmark

So I'm in the unenviable position that I have decided to pursue GRS through the danish gender care system or atleast partially, I've already discovered some of the many issues such as the lack of knowledge in regards to the actual criteria patients need to fulfill, but this is not going to be a vent post.

So in regards to the process of getting CKI's conscent for surgery, I was not told directly that the comittee and system would be agianst me but it was very heavily implied by my very understanding and apologetic nurse. So I was told there is a requirement of a BMI of 27 and that with the new 25 years of age prefered patient group mandate from CPH did also complicate things. So I want to hear from people who've gone through the "udredelse" assesment, what is the actual proces? ofcourse only replies from those who feel okay sharing their experince.

I have been searching the interwebs far and wide in danish and english for any and all information about the actual method and results gained from the Butcher himself (Michea Vestergaard Thomsenl). I have only found very vauge data from humanrights. dk and a general lack of information on everything worth while to gather on these styles of surgery.
Does anyone in here have firsthand experince or have seen results they feel safe and comfortable with sharing?.

I know the rules of "refusion" change of treatment center to another EU countries clinic, has anyone in here tried this and what was the experince like?

In addition if there is interest in it I will gladly share my mail correspondence within rime and reason, as to help ad aditional reasources to those who in the future will be searching for answers.
Kind regards

How to join in Danish gun politics

Hey everyone so as the title might give away I'm looking into joining in on working towards common sense gun ownership laws in Denmark, as our current laws make no sense and contain to many restrictions and gray zones. I've been looking for over a year unsuccesfully, I did today discover firearms united, but from what I could tell they are very dead, so I'd like to hear what the right move is to getting politically active with this and what orgs exist that may not have shown up in my search.

Kind regards :)

So I've been considering having a M14 clone reconfigured within reason with M1 Garand stock and gas rod. Making a mock T1920 rifle to scratch that gun nerd itch, would it be plausible without losing reliability and functionality?.

I'm considering doing a fair bit myself as much as I legaly can, my experince is with more industrial metal work and machining I am very much a novice when it comes to gunsmithing, is this something I should leave to a professional?
