Preparing for Diamond

Preparing for Diamond

Hii guys I'm an Emarld Vayne otp.

I'm under 200 lp away from Diamond. I would really like to discuss the skills and mindset I can develop now to give myself the best chance to get Diamond.

My micro is sound. I'm confident and know how to carry when the conditions are right.

I started learning back timers and being intentional with them. What are some other key concepts I should learn now?

Insecure about my body

I know corn isn’t real and that a lot of OF models have surgery, editing, perfect lighting, etc. I know all of that logically, and I’m actually a really confident person most of the time.

But sometimes I still get wildly insecure about my stretch marks, hip dips, and just my body in general. I get overwhelmed really easily too, so once I start thinking about it, I spiral.

I saw a post recently about people in relationships basically micro-cheating by constantly getting off to women online even though they have a partner at home, and it genuinely scared me. I don’t entertain myself with any kind of corn when I’m with someone, and I think part of me is scared I’ll never find someone who feels the same way.

From a more educated perspective, I think a lot of my discomfort also comes from how inherently misogynistic much of mainstream corn is. Women are often reduced to bodies and categories, with increasingly unrealistic beauty standards and sexual performances presented as normal. It doesn’t just sell sex, it often sells a version of female sexuality designed almost entirely around male consumption, where women are expected to be endlessly available, visually perfect, and replaceable. I know not every form of sexual content is identical, but I find it difficult to separate mainstream corn culture from the objectification of women and the expectations it creates for real relationships.

Like, am I always going to be competing with thousands of perfect looking women on someone’s screen? I know comparison is pointless, but today is just one of those days where I look at myself and feel fucking ugly.

Day 5.

Was just journaling, today's I feel happy, it's a net positive, slept good and long, slowed my pace down to really soak up the day.

I just realised that if I nofap the rest of this month I would have no fapped for 85% of winter. Idk for me it feels like a win that I could control myself for a season, and even though it wasn't perfect 100% I can atleast say 85%. I'm happy with 85% 😁

Day 3.

Today wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

No intrusive thoughts.

First thing I did after work was journal and write a budget.

The self care routines I set up 2 months ago are starting to come online again. Woke up this morning washed/cleansed/moisturised my face. Started me off on a win.

I'm not sure if it's related. It feels like when I indulge in other addictive behaviour (in my case, it was smoking cigarettes), it seems to feel almost impossible to resist pmo.

And when I quit smoking, the urge to pmo feels strong but manageable, and then it fades quickly.

Anyone find reducing/cutting off other bad habits makes it easier to stay on track?

Day 2

Today is a net negative day, got poor sleep last night, felt flat all day at work.

The positive thing about today is that I didn't have any horny/sexual thoughts, yesterday was my first day in about 2 weeks where I didn't pmo or have thoughts.

Tomorrow I'm assuming will be the worst of it.

After that I hope I'll be able to manage my habits better.

So far on my journey I've gone 7 weeks off 2 weeks on.

I identified weaknesses in my afternoon routine.

My self care systems failed due to grief.

Those 2 weeks on was a result of a month of grief and neglecting my exercise and self care.

Yesterday I went for a run after work, first run in a month, and would you guess it, the urge to pmo was subdued.

Exercise

Self care

Journaling

All three key to getting me back on track

Relapsed

Hello ladies and Gents,

As the title states, I relapsed, this Friday would have been 2 months. It's okay though.

Just to be open, I went on omegal, I got into unmoderated video rooms and that triggered the relapsed.

2 months of growth is still with me. And my pmo count is back to 0. Gotta keep myself accountable.

Wish me luck. I'll update y'all on week 4 🥲

sex and porn enables trafficking and abuse

This post doesn't directly correlate. The problem with porn is that it's compartmentalised as "fantasy" or "just a for fun".

It's easier then to think, oh some of these videos could be abuse.

Idk but when she said she probably won't ever get passed this it touched a part of my heart.

Not to guilt or shame just offering another perspective

My journey, Week 5.

Hi Girls and Guys.

This day marks the 5th week pmo free, I want to say thank you to everyone in the subreddit and to also apologise if I have been a bit TMI.

I want to share my experience with this week, this week has been the best week so far in my journey. Cravings are far apart, they come and go so fast I don't even have time to register it, my parts are still working and looking good if I do say so myself (tmi tmi I'm sorry)

I also had a chance to share with you some of the deeper issues surrounding my addiction and by opening that can of worms have come to accept a part of myself. I'm not mad at who I was, the weight of shame and guilt has been dropped and left behind. I WILL NEVER PICK IT UP AGAIN.

I'm gonna beline to the kind of man I was meant to be, a man of God, a man who stands next to the truth, and a man who sees others and can help them.

I'll take the back seat for a while and update at the end of month 2. I'll still be here. Wishing you all the best of luck, God bless 🙌 🙏🏿 ❤️

Addiction update.

This weekend was an emotionally difficult weekend, without getting into too much detail, I was sick and hit with some pretty shitty news.

(I didn't pmo)

I wasn't prepared for this combo of being sick and having to deal with some bad news so I smoked a cigarette. I share this because I was 6 weeks into not smoking and was feeling confident.

It was just a slip and I'm still going to keep quitting, I'll grab some patches and quickmist when I get paid and go from there.

This serves as a valuable lesson, because I wasn't prepared for an emergency, my brain quicky went to an easy dopamine path. Now to protect myself ill keep an emergency quickmist in my car/room.

I'll also have to think of an "in case of emergencies" plan for PMO. Any suggestions welcome, when I think of one I'll update y'all

My Journey, Week 4

Hi Girls and guys,

4 weeks ago I decided PMO was not for me, I came here anonymously to share my story and break the shame keeping me stuck in the addiction.

These 4 week's, i've opened up to friends about my use, they've been supportive and I'm so grateful for all the support, thank you everyone.

Okay so to share my findings and struggles with you so the next person on this journey has a bit of an easier time.

Week 1. Out with the old, in with the new.

PMO was out, skin care was in.

My main trigger was night time before bed, so I replaced the habit, now, when it's bed time, I'd shower and do my skin care routine. Cost me $60 give or take $5. For anyone who can't justify that, you can go for a smaller full body lotion I got the value pack, and for the person really trying to be savvy just get the cleaner/moisturiser.

Week 1 struggles.

Day 1 - 3

Shit sucked, I just stayed out of my room those 3 days and jammed my ps4 in the lounge.

Day 3-7

I was a horny dog, had a sex dream one of these days.

Week 2. Dopamine balances out.

This week was a mental battle, most of the physical cravings became manageable by day 5. The mental dips, the random drop in energy (I was bored and my body was like "suffer") yeah this week was mentally difficult, journaling and keeping busy. Gym was my best friend this week.

Week 2 struggles. Wondering eyes.

Every cute girl, every ass, every titty, I'm not proud of it. My brain was just trying to fund sex everywhere. To address this I would catch myself when I checked out a chick, yes there attractive, but they also have interests and personality, I wanted to spark curiosity, not just objectification.

Week 3. Environment, Environment, environment.

Week three energy dips are less common now, your Dopamine is balancing, routine are the backbone of my days, skin care and hygiene morning and night.

Ted talks after work. Setting up your environment to ensure good habits are easy and bad habits are hard.

Week 3 struggles.

Social media. Fuck dudes and dudettes, the amount of fucking asexually suggestive ads on YouTube, look I'm sure the number hasn't really changed, and that I'm just more aware of it now, it makes me angry, I use to love brainrotting but not anymore. I'd block 10 ads one day and 20 more will pop up the next.

Week 4. Settling.

By now you realise quitting porn isn't a magic pill, or a change who you are overnight. It's a choice, one I make daily, to say, I'd rather face today as a healthy human, physically, mentally and sexually.

Today was week 4 and today, after weeks of accumulated choices to be healthier, I ran into an old friend, I had a crush on her but was super awkward. Today out of the blue at the shops getting an item swapped out I ran into her.

It didn't happen overnight, for 4 weeks I made the choice to be healthier, take care of my physical and mental health, take care of my hygiene. Keep myself accountable for how I looked and thought about woman.

And in that brief 5 minute interaction, I took the initiative, asked her out for some tea. Took the lead, got to the cafe 10 minutes later and spend 30 minutes just catching up.

It wasn't awkward, I didn't sutter, I might of interrupted 2 or 3 times, I smiled, she smiled, we had a good time, for 30 minutes we talked and caught up and it flowed. I'm seeing her again next week, wish me luck 🫡

Week 4 struggles.

Habits might start to slip, stay vigilant, it's a daily choice, and the beauty of it, you can add or change what kind of habits and hobbies you want, don't have to stay the same forever, just has to never be pmo again 😉

Interpretation help

Last night I astral projected for the second time, something was pulling my left arm and I arrived in an astral plain, there I saw a tree, and as I walked through the strains of lift memories of my life would pass. It was a radiant with a white glow.

I spoke to the thing that took me there and it told me, "you are to concerned with the material world, be close to God"

After I was in a room, I spoke to my ancestors, one woman and one man, I was talking to them about technology and art when the man said "we have enough workers"

Can anyone help me interpret?

My journey, Week 3.

Hi girls and guys.

Just an update on my progress.

I (27M) decided pmo wasn't for me 3 weeks ago.

I know I'm not alone on this journey and thank you all for being here with me.

Day 0 of my journey it's a Thursday, I have work in the morning, it's already 9:30, I need to be up by 5. (Just one quick session, I tell myself, like I always did) now it's 11:30

I feel regret, I should of been asleep by then, now the work day is going to drag on and I'm gonna have to drag myself out of bed.

What am I doing to myself, deep down I didn't even want to do it, it was just that fucking voice.

Friday came and went, I was a zombie, I had training and I hated every moment of it during the workout, but after felt good, not as good as I would of liked but it helped.

I get home shower, but tonight instead of just repeating that cycle, I asked chatgpt, it informs me that pmo is quite easy to break, just identify the trigger and disrupt it.

I'm like 10 months into quitting weed and that was easy.

I was 2 weeks into quitting nicotine and that was hard. I had a bit of a gauge of what easy felt like and what hard felt like, so that gave me hope.

Weed was easy because I just stopped hanging out with people in environments that made it easy.

Porn follows the same principle, i can't stop hanging out with your body right? But I can stop hanging out with my phone on my bed.

This was just me. we're all different, at different stages with different perspectives and goals. For some of us maybe we have limited control over our environment.

Week 1.

This week I just listened to the easy peasy way to quit porn.

https://youtu.be/27H4-pN8e9o?si=CwmJ6hLlqZl5klQ6

At first I was embarrassed, only listening to it when no one wad around, after a few days id listen to it in the morning, when I got half way through the video. (I would listen to 10/20 minutes a sitting) I was listening to it in the shower.

Was it embrassing? Sure for like a a day or 2.

Did my family hear the video playing while I was in the shower? There's a good chance?

Did they clown or make fun of me? No

Finding support helps, and for everyone it looks different.

Sorry for the post.

Let me know if you want me to share more.

Thank you again

My journey, 2 weeks.

Hi girls and guys,

I wanted to open up and share my journey on quitting.

I started pmo young, early teens.

Was exposed to it younger, 9/10

And experienced sexual contact early on in life and believe that's the root cause of my addiction.

I'm 27 (m) and have decided pmo is not for me, it's not who I am, and life can be and is more enjoyable without porn.

Looking back at the last 14 years I can say porn and masturrbation has been a ball and chain holding me back. Worse still, the attitude about woman porn projected and I believed has caused much pain to the woman I was blessed to be able to love due to my misguided belief about, love sex and intimacy.

I quit porn because it turned me into a shit human being, and in these 2 weeks ,I've identified the habits triggers and put systems in place I could follow blind.

I'm already happier, the woman in my life are so wonderful, from work, neighbourhood and family, they deserve to be seen without being objectified and sexualised, and they deserve a man who's worth isn't defined about how many woman he can sleep with but by his own inherent belief.
