I must’ve been a terrible person in a past life to be backfilling losing games so often…
At this point I’m getting into games where I backfill more than actually joining from the start

I said what I said, I think that it seems fitting. If you screw over your team, you might as well make up for it by helping another
Every other hero in this roster can do what they're intended to do without micromanagement and high risk low reward efforts. There are heroes who are invulnerable to damage 60% of the match, heroes who can hold Primary Fire from safe distances and do MORE consistent damage than Sym can. There are cats who can fucking fly indefinitely. LET SYM KILL A BITCH WITH TWO ORBS IT TAKES 70 YEARS TO CHARGE THOSE SHITS UP.
It ruins the modes for me personally, since now a lot of people are intentionally choosing heroes they don't like or play terribly as.
I understand those challenges aren't mandatory, I just think they remove player agency and makes things unfun
You’re a Symmetra’s with a 62% win rate and prefer 6v6 but they removed Role Queue so you’ll never be able to have teams where you have a 2-2-2 composition which you thrive in, so you either have to be Tank which you’re bad at, or be a third DPS which would be terrible for the team, so you’re forever in a limbo of stifled potential where you know you’d be doing amazing if Role Queue was still a thing
• Chain Reaction: Landing a chain on an enemy also chains the nearest enemy, if within 3 meters, and so on.
• Hat Trick: Mizuki's hat deals damage to any enemy it makes contact with while healing between allies.
• Poltergeist: Paper Doll now has the option to be destroyed, damaging all enemies within it's location.
• Defensive Driver: Joyride has separate HP from Shion.
• Hot Wheels: Joyride's explosion deals burn damage.
• Priority Pickup: Joyride pins the first enemy in contact.
• Run & Gun: Joyride enables Primary Fire while in use.
5v5 feels so empty, if your 1 Tank is doing badly, you do badly too. 6v6 Open Queue is where I find that Symmetra’s actually can dominate lobbies consistently. But it’s so rare because 6v6 Open Queue Comps are like 5 DPS/1 Support, No Tanks, etc. So she’s in this limbo of suppressed potential, due to game modes, shitty matchmaking and terrible balancing choices from the devs.
6v6 Role Queue gave Symmetra the chance to function without being a frantic mess of micromanagement. Having two pairs of Tanks to fight with and against allowed Symmetra to use her beam consistently. Now it’s just something you cross your fingers over.
Does that mean the hero is overpowered, or just super niche? Does it mean the player base of that hero is super skilled?
It’s like everyone’s placed under a trance where they can’t help but play no tanks/dps only/healers only type comps. And it gets to the point where it’s so obvious the only reason we’re losing is because of these god awful comps, but everyone just decides to ignore it. Everyone just decides to have a terribly negative score and lose. And then everyone complains in the end that the team comp was bad. It’s surreal. But if there was a role queue, around 70 redditors would jump you for even thinking about it, so ig this’ll be a forever issue.
While brainstorming collaborations, I thought a Plants Vs Zombies collab would be super fun. Here's some heroes from the roster that I believe fit well!
I've come across a multitude of posts regarding this subject for other heroes. I'd like to know the general consensus of Symmetra's gameplay; being that out of all heroes, she's been through the most iterations.
I think she fulfills her purposes; disruption and spacing. She's helps her team bypass choke points through her Teleporter; just as well as she can secure them through her Turrets. Her Primary shuts down Tank potential, while her Secondary is an effective distraction, when spammed to and from Teleporters. Her Ultimate offers versatility as both a defensive and offensive option.
The main challenge in balancing is her Teleporter. It's considerably impactful in pro play, yet underutilized otherwise. This results in changes being highly dependent on one inconsistent ability. She's also easily outdamaged, outmaneuvered or outranged by a considerable portion of the roster.
With all this in consideration, I'd give Symmetra a solid 7/10. She has a unorthodox playstyle that melds well within the Overwatch universe. She is able to fulfill a niche in a natural way. However, I do understand the player base's frustrations in regards to both balancing and versing her in game.
I just had a match where I was about to do a game saving TP bomb during overtime, just to end up confused at why the TP wasn’t deploying, then lost having to walk over. The devs refuse to fix this because of Rein being able to TP the enemy they are charging. Just make it so the enemy is removed from the charge.
For me it’s when a Sombra saves their ultimate for my own, so frustrating
To what degree do ya'll think the in world audience see's what we do each episode? Are all the private moments between contestants televised? Do you think there is any scene that the audience doesn't see?
My mom has been waking me up in the morning, telling me to turn off the stove for meals she's preparing. Of course I do, and of course you'd think, "Of course you should, that's your mother." Not like I have a choice, since the alternative would be the house burning down.
Beyond the dynamics of parent and child: Isn't it unsafe to leave the stove on, hoping someone else who's barely awake, will turn it off? And isn't it inconsiderate to start a task, then leave the responsibility to someone else, without letting them know beforehand?
It's like if you're in a car and you let go of the wheel, trusting the person in the back seat will start driving. What if a coworker, friend or neighbor placed you in the same situation? Does this circumstance legitimately change, just because the person was your parent?
EDIT So, The Main Groups Responding Are:
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Players going 4 DPS/Supports, no Tanks, people swapping off their roles. Every single loss I’ve had in this mode has been due to my teams creating the most god awful team compositions ever made in OW history.
Before you comment “the queue times” I was there during 6v6 Role Queue. There's currently more game modes than there was the last time 6v6 Role Queue was active, yet the queue time is still reasonable. Adding one more mode, or at the very least testing it, won't kill us.
I find it funny people believe no one wants to play Tank in 6v6 while also defending Open Queue by claiming they almost always have 2 Tanks. No to mention the current 5v5 criticism being that Tanking is awful alone 🤷♂️. These contradictions make this argument irrelevant.
I'm not even gonna respond at this point because I know for a fact every comment will basically be; "I hate Tank, so everyone else must hate Tank, I don't want a century long queue, play Tank if you love it so much, I bet you won't! No one in the history of this game has ever mained Tanks. It's impossible to ever enjoy Tanking. F*** Tanks."
