Around 11pm plus. There was a really long line of white lights in the sky, going from west to east, over west Sustina towards the Chugach. Almost 200 of them. Evenly spaced out in a line. Did anyone else see this!? Satellites? Also, the air traffic stopped for that five minute period. And there is always LOTS of air traffic a little west of Anchorage this time of night. Even on a sunday. Just hanging at fish camp and wondering who the hell is invading us/ recording us in such a fast fashion.
Next time you're at the bar, ring the bell. This was creepy shit.
The Alaska Repeal Top-Four Ranked-Choice Voting Initiative is on the ballot in Alaska as an indirect initiated state statute on November 3, 2026.
A "yes" vote supports: eliminating the top-four primaries and ranked-choice voting general elections in Alaska, establishing a party primary system, and eliminating campaign finance provisions that require persons and entities that contribute more than $2,000 that were themselves derived from donations, contributions, dues, or gifts to disclose the true sources (as defined in law) of the political contributions.
---
A "no" vote opposes eliminating the campaign finance provisions, top-four primaries, and ranked-choice voting general elections in Alaska, thus keeping top-four primaries, ranked-choice voting general elections, and campaign finance provisions approved by voters in 2020.

Basically, I'd like to listen to podcasts or insta reels or youtube while browsing other sites on separate tabs. I've looked around and can't find a solution. I click on the music note and it has them listed there, but won't even play the sound on the mini window. How can I listen while looking at other stuff? Thanks for your help - AI has not been useful.
Hey there - I live in Talkeetna (Southcentral Alaska) and have a Basset Hound. He's around 7 years old, good health, normal habits, all that. I feel like whatever he got into may be Alaska specific. Breakup is more than halfway done and nothing is growing yet. Also, have no neighbors, no weed or recreational mushrooms or other drugs around, and no squirrels to store anything that he could get into. There is a mayday tree, but the birds have eaten everything over there and there's still snow he hasn't gone through.
The other day, he went out around 9am, barked around and came back in. About a half hour later, he was moving VERY slowly, had trouble with the stairs, his tail was EXTREMEMLY tucked, and he tried to follow me everywhere, but very slowly. He was scared to be pet and wouldn't roll over at all. Normally he would just go back to the couch at this point and wait for me to drop something on the floor that he could sneak up and eat. He was obviously scared, most particularly of the metal grate outside the door. Wet nose, no fever, ate his food normally (but wouldn't chase treats for the first time in his life). It lasted til after 10pm and then he was back to completely normal.
What could he have gotten into!? Thanks for your help. He hasn't gotten into anything since and I've never seen this before. I also posted on r/alaska just in case.
