Stop paying the highest prices. Use 1688 app reverse image search

I saw someone posted a haul and liked his hoodie. But bro paid way too much. I use 1688 to find items and Superbuy as my agent (use whichever one you want just don’t do sketchy WhatsApp deals).

For 1688, you can’t make an account but you can use image search and paste the link into your agent.

Superbuy will let me exchange or return items if the QC photo is bad, which I’ve only needed to do a couple times for Ralph Lauren pony logos. I say this because if you’re worried that “super low price = bad quality” then you have a way to get a refund. Also, a lot of these sellers are just reselling the same batch items at a higher price because people don’t use these tools.

Bad to ask out women at their job?

I’m 28. I’ve dated women before but I still have no confidence or self esteem. Not sure if it’s wrong for me to ask out women at their job. I feel like if someone else did it, I wouldn’t judge them or feel negative about it. But me doing it, makes me feel like I’m going to make the woman feel unsafe.

I literally feel like the HR meme.

Some women I’ve met have seemed really nice and I find them pretty. But also maybe they just have good customer service and I’m autistic.

I feel so depressed because I don’t know where I stand and I’d rather play it safe than be seen as a stalker

I Hate Lyft

Vent: I’m a driver so I understand why but I need to vent.

My mom is old and doesn’t have a car. Sometimes I drive her when I have time, but I prioritize earning money on the weekends because it’s just a prime time for me.

I knew she wanted to go to the YMCA today, so I sent her some money to order a ride (driving back and forth for this just wastes my gas). I ended up earning my daily goal early and made it home at the same time she was waiting for her ride. She told me she had been waiting for 20 minutes and that no driver had come to get her.

Well that’s because the trip costs her $10, which means the driver is only get like $5 AT BEST. So, duh, no one will move their car for that.

It’s not the hypothetical drivers fault, but god I cried that day thinking about how my mom struggles to get transportation. And my mom is someone who tips with cash because she knows people work hard and she’s grateful.

Sorry I just wanted to vent.

Free Vouchers for College Exam Credits to Complete First 2 Years

if you are looking to save money on tuition, CLEP exams with Modern States are a huge cheat code. Modern States is this free non profit that gives you online prep courses for basic general education classes like college algebra, intro psychology, or US history. Once you complete a course, they give you a voucher that covers the actual test fee, and they even reimburse whatever fee your local testing center charges. That basically means you can test out of intro classes for zero dollars out of pocket, and if you stack enough of them, you can knock out your first two years of college before stepping on campus.

around 3,000 colleges accept them across the country. Public state universities, community colleges, and online friendly schools like WGU are usually really generous with CLEP credits. Highly selective private schools generally wont take them though, so you definitely want to double check your target schools transfer guide on College Board first. But for anyone trying to skip the filler gen eds and avoid massive student debt, it is a no brainer to look into.

The purpose of a degree is to get a job. Plan your career path before you spend thousands of dollars on a degree you won’t use.

I see so many people complain about having a degree, or even multiple degrees, and still working dead end jobs.

Yes, the job market is bad right now, but a lot of the people making these posts have had their degrees for years and are still saying they can’t find a job. I think a big part of the problem is that many people choose majors based on their interests instead of industries that are actually hiring.

The worst part is that some of them blame everyone but themselves. If you get a master’s degree without ever working a professional job first, you’re often going to look overqualified for entry level positions. On top of that, a lot of these degrees are in fields that employers aren’t actively looking for.

What you should do is look at career starting salaries in your area or areas you’re willing to commute to, and look at what they require. If the job states a specific degree, that’s the degree you need. If it doesn’t state specifically, choose a major that aligns the closest.

Yourpace: Internships Matter More Than Graduating Early

If you’re at UMPI and planning to finish your degree as quickly as possible, prioritize getting an internship before you graduate. I completed all 120 credits in about two semesters and graduated with a 3.46 GPA, but not having an internship made finding my first job much more difficult.

Get enough credits to qualify for internships, start applying, and slow down your degree if necessary.

I applied to over 500 jobs, had about 20 interviews, and received one job offer. During many of those interviews, my lack of an internship came up.

I didn’t know this going in, and I honestly wish I had known because this would’ve also allowed me to gain experience while earning money before even finishing my degree which would’ve been nice.
