In dire need of help organizing/rearranging my office

This is my least favorite and most messy room in the house!

I live in a 100 year old duplex. This room is shaped oddly and has THREE doors not including the closet (one door leads directly into the second bedroom, the other into the back hallway and the other actually useful door leads into the main hallway of our home) which makes arranging furniture tricky.

I am open to suggestions of how to arrange or add some semblance of organization to this room in a way that makes sense and looks more cozy and less cluttered.

checking to see if my friend's house is ok?

I live near Milwaukee and I haven't been able to get ahold of my friend in Appleton. She lives near Reid Municipal Golf Course by Freemont/Carpenter - does anyone know if this area got badly damaged? Thank you!

Shelter called him a "St. Bernard mix"

No idea what this guy is! I would believe that he has some Pyr. He was hyperactive as a young dog but now is very content to lay about the house. He likes to herd myself and my husband when he wants us to go somewhere in the house or go outside.

Cover-up ideas wanted if possible

This tattoo was very cool and self-actualizing when I was 23 years old but it's about 15 years later now and I'd like to look at something else on my arm these days instead of this heavy black band that wraps around my entire forearm.

I'm considering my options. I have had laser removal on my left arm and it hurt like the dickens and took many sessions to lighten it up. I am open to that option if absolutely necessary though I know it will be a long process and probably expensive.

I'd like to consider coverup ideas before going that route! I like the idea of scrollwork, or references from art history (I have other tattoos that reference Roman and medieval history). On some level I am not opposed to a sick ass panther.

Novels that take place in WW2 era (or pre-war) Germany that are not about the holocaust and are from the perspective of an average German.

Like the title suggests:

I recently read A German Wife and would love more fiction in this vein.

I already have The Kindly Ones and All The Light We Cannot See on my list and I have just checked out City of Thieves from my local library (I know it doesn't fully meet the above criteria, but it sounds similar enough to what I'm looking for), but I'd like to add more to my "to read" list.

38 years old, new to this - need HRT probably but unsure where to get for cheap

I am 38, and experiencing peri symptoms and I'm so frustrated!!!

Things that feel new, and are kind of ruining my life: I am a feral monster and I feel sorry that my husband has to deal with me, particularly around my period. I am auDHD and emotional regulation has always been a bit of a struggle, but I rage HARD, often for now good goddamn reason. Everything feels like a huge deal, and it's embarrassing.

My sleep quality has changed dramatically. I either can't fall asleep, or wake up at 3 or 4 a.m. and am just wide awake. I am a therapist and an athlete so I literally require having good sleep to be good at the things I have chosen to do with the time I have on the planet.

Brain fog around my cycle is seriously getting in the way. It's like my mind goes blank and I can't remember anything I've ever known about anything. My processing is already sometimes delayed (auDHD) but man this is horrendous stuff when I'm face to face with a client at work and I cannot absorb anything they are telling me and/or I can't remember anything I've ever learned about how to help them.

Hot flashes at night are ruining my life. They happen like clockwork, and even on nights when I'm sleepy and feel restful, my body gets so warm in the middle of the night that I need to grab an ice pack and sometimes even that doesn't do anything.

I am currently uninsured (yay American healthcare system) and I'm overwhelmed and not even sure where to look for HRT treatment. I'm in Wisconsin, if it matters.

Anyone in Wisconsin or generally knowledgable about accessing resources sans insurance? Where do I start? How much might this cost me every month without insurance? If you tried it, was it even helpful? I don't have a lot of female friends and I feel like having an irl convo with someone would be more helpful/less overwhelming than figuring this stuff out via a google search, so I'm consulting you good folks on Reddit.

Thank you so much!

I got this very cute oblong brass planter but it doesn't really have any drainage so I need to repot these guys. Any suggestions for how I might be able to use this planter?

I am getting back into reading fiction after having no time, focus or energy for years due to grad school, life, etc. I was a voracious reader through my teen years and would burn through novels but I no longer have the focus and free time that I used to. I miss it terribly!

I don't have a tremendously specific request but I do have some preferences that might help folks recommend something:

Engaging, not a slow burn. Something that will have me invested within 50 pages!

I love historical fiction, but prefer books rooted in historical accuracy so I'm a bit picky. I would love a well researched book set in medieval Europe or WW1/WW2, though not necessarily only looking for books within this genre.

I want to like and care about the characters! Again, I want to feel invested from the start.

Nothing with a devastating ending. I am a mental health therapist who primarily works with trauma looking for a bit of an escape and while I'm not necessarily looking for something light, I'd rather not be crushed to bits by the novel I'm reading.

Something with competent prose. Nothing that reads like YA fiction. I say this because I was recently recommended the ACOTAR series by someone who doesn't know me very well and this is the antithesis of what I am looking for in this regard.

Thank you!
