INTERNET MYSTERY TIME!

PREFACE:

As an autistic Redditor who smokes too much weed, I spend a lot of time online
Around last month someone posted the video here on TCT, of Jontron meeting AVGN.
Discussing the infamous "It's just cans" line. Said by Keanu Reeves in Speed.
With the poster proposing that James Rolfe stole the joke about the line - from comedian Patrice O' Neal

SO:

I was watching a Mr Sark video named HIDE WHERE ?!? (Gmod Prop Hunt)
A few of the guys including SeaNanners does the Keanu "Cans" line
With Mr Sark promptly editing a picture from the movie into the frame.

This really begs the fucking question; Where did the meme originate?

Are all those people just ripping off Patrice?
When did it become a joke within the culture.

CONCLUSION:

It is my own personal assumption that Patrice noticed it first, and made the remark.

The line Keanu says is shit. But so is the whole movie. The particular line is not of such hilarity that a bunch of people would consistently joke about it.

Looking for old black rubber flip phone. Probably LG

Back in school I owned a small flip phone. Samsung or LG but almost certain it was LG. Perfect for texting under the table in class. It was definitely one of the smallest phones of the time.

It was sort of oval, egg shaped, but slightly longer of course. Covered in black matte dusty rubber. It was all black, covered in rubber.

the lid had a really small square blue backlit LED screen. With a slight metallic edge around the screen I think. It probably showed the time etc.

You could really slam that lid close. Almost airtight.

The whole thing looked like an evil Tamagotchi with a lid. Slightly aerodynamic like a computer mouse.

Pretty sure it didn't have an antenna at all.

It resembles another phone called Samsung SGH-X500 but that one doesn't have rubber.

But I think it was LG. But possibly Samsung!

If anyone can narrow this down, I'd much appreciate it.
