I'm moving abroad in less than three months, any good options to keep me covered in the meantime?

I am moving to a new country and will be there by the start of October. So needless to say, I don't need another three full months of service. I've loved Mint while I've had it, but are there any options to keep me covered for a month or two? Something Mint offers or another provider that you'd recommend? Thanks!

The worst part about being a Steam Deck only gamer...

I got my Steam Deck three years ago, and in that time I sold my PS4 and gifted my Switch to my sister. I am fully in on SteamOS now, I'm a believer. I also am prepping for a one year move abroad, so I don't want to invest in a bulky console. I work on a MacBook Pro, so the Deck is quite literally my only gaming device. Well... I also have a Vita which I love, but as far as modern gaming it's just the Deck.

I love the Deck. I've really loved playing through my backlog as well as replaying some of my favorites from the PS4 era. Even as a docked experience, it's great.

The only problem is getting excited about new releases lol. Look, I'm not delusional about what the Deck can run. When a modern AAA game comes to PC that's too demanding, I just skip it. I figure when I eventually upgrade devices, I'll get around to those games. I was hoping that the Steam Machine would be that device, but $1K is far too rich for my blood.

But the waiting is a killer. Seeing Persona 4 Revival's marketing kick into gear has me frothing at the mouth for that game. Persona 3 Reload ran like butter on the Deck, even at 1080p docked. But there's no telling how P4R will run until it actually comes out. So the eight months of waiting for it, but wondering if it will be optimized for the Deck is torture. I'd be totally fine with my expectations being put in check regarding performance right away, but the uncertainty is a killer. And this is not the first time it's happened.

I get that this is just how it is for such a niche underpowered PC device, but it's a total departure from decades of being a console gamer. That said, it's worth it for the freedom the Deck gives me.

TLDR; Waiting to see if a game is optimized for Deck sucks.

'The League' is dope, but...

As per usual, The League of Extra Ordinary Heroes was another banger from RDC. The best part was definitely Hobo Des. But I couldn't help but sigh when it ended on a cliffhanger.

I feel like I'm waiting on a dozen RDC series lol. Realistically, I know most will never be picked up again. But even when it comes to something they've teased like Anime House, it takes them a long time to produce new installments. To be fair, I don't actually care how long it takes, I'm totally fine with them taking their time to make something great. I just wish they didn't start so many new things in the meantime.

I was kinda hoping this was going to be a standalone short film like 'Friends, Best Friends, And...'. But it was open ended like 'Imagine That'. It's like they're making tv pilots instead of short films.

But who knows, Mark says the second one is already wrapped and will be out within a month, so maybe this time...

Watching S03E19 - Feline Fall. What the hell was Legoshi thinking??

I’m watching the Final Season for the first time. This is the first time the show has left me dumbfounded. What was Legoshi’s plan for confronting Melon?? He reveals his relationship with Haru to his enemy, lets the guy monologue (the same mistake he made last time), forgets that Melon shot him twice before so duh he has a gun, let’s go of Melon’s wrist because he’s scared he’s hurting him(??), and let’s him get away because two dudes with sticks said stop! I am actually shocked. I really felt like the episodes leading up to this moment where setting up his mindset of not taking Melon lightly now, and yet it‘s like he showed up with zero plan. Make it make sense.

When I hold my right nostril closed and inhale, I get whiffs of a wet dog odor.

This has been happening for probably a few weeks now and I randomly googled this and now I'm freaking out with all the wild out there shit I got back. I'm hoping someone here maybe has a more nuanced knowledgable take?

I have zero other symptoms of anything. No pain in my sinuses. No sinus headaches. No drainage. No blockage. I've been getting stuffed up occasionally because it's spring, but I blow my nose and take some allergy medication and I'm fine. My mucus looks normal.

I smell nothing when I breathe normally or when I hold the left nostril closed. I kind of stumbled across this, because otherwise it's not noticeable. Sometimes when I clean my nose out well I can't smell it at all, but it comes back. Any clues?

Why is Mixtape so divisive?

There seems to be a lot of love for the game from reviewers and journalists. And that seems to be making a group of people irrationally angry. Like, what is people’s problem with the game? I’ve seen comments like, ‘walking sim bad’, ’it’s cringe’, and ‘IGN gave it a 10 but Crimson Desert a 6’. I genuinely don’t understand what one has to do with the other. I’ve also seen people pull out the ‘iTs wOkE!’ Which doesn’t feel like it means anything anymore. It’s just a buzzword for things that conservatives hate.

I haven’t played the game yet, so I’m happy to hear actual criticism about the game. But so far, it seems like noise to me, and I don’t get it?

This was a part of a trailer making contest, and for funsies I decided to make a promo for my Plex server.
