how to stop rumination and fix my mental health?

Hi everyone! I have a tendency to overthink things. I know everyone does but I feel like I have a tendency to overthink things that don’t matter and that the way I over think is a little un normal. It’s starting to affect my day to day life. I wake up and think about old things. Constantly live in the past instead of the present. Worried about how people perceive me. Especially when it comes to instagram. People not reposting me or interacting with what I post. None of this matters! I don’t have the money to talk with a counselor or therapist, but please if anyone has any suggestions to stop this it would really be appreciated because I don’t and can’t keep living like this

are these good professors?

I looked at the rate my professor reviews, but some of them I couldn’t find anything

Hunt, Laura A - art
Ittuveetil, Avinash - chemistry lab
Barrow, Doyle - chemistry
Tusher, Chantal - psychology
Liu, jian - statistics

I was supposed to take bio with Dr. Castelli but I heard he’s not good so I switched it with chem

12 hours or 15?

I signed up for the 12 hour plan where you do 4 each semester and two over the summer. I don’t know if I want to take summer classes, but I also don’t know if five will be too much. What do you all think? I’m debating switching to 15 hours.

classes as a nursing major

I’m an incoming freshman majoring in nursing and was wondering if someone would be willing to show me their schedule so I could get an idea of what pre-requisites I’ll be taking first semester

Dorm Room

The website is not letting me pick my dorm. I’m scheduled to pick it today. Are they out of dorms? I can’t commute and I paid the $350 fee.

safety ..

Is gsu as unsafe as people say it is? The Marta stabbing is scaring me a little and “the state way” on ig are planning welcome events for new students that start at 9:30pm and end at 3am, I want to go but being out that late is when all the spooky stuff happens so idk

Kennesaw, Georgia State, or Uwg?

I know this is unrelated, but if I ask any of those Reddit’s it’ll probably be biased.

If you had to choose between uwg, kennesaw, and georgia state, which one would you choose and why? Does anyone have any pros and cons?

housing

I posted something a few days ago about not hitting the test score minimum, but ksu just offered me admission. I’m wondering how likely it is for be to get housing. I’m a freshman, but they accepted me so late so I doubt I’ll get housing. I tried calling them today, but they’re closed for juneteenth. I basically just want to know how likely it is I’ll get housing as a freshman that just got admitted.

What dorms are still available?

If anyone has started picking for the fall semester what dorms are still left to pick? I don’t pick until next week.

going to georgia southern

hi, I was considering going to ga southern, but my dad feels like the drive is too far because we live nearly four hours away, but people go hours away for college all the time, idk does anyone have any tips? do you all recommend ga southern? sorry for bringing up the rival school, but he wants me to go to ga state since it’s closer, but I heard the environment isn’t good and I don’t want to go to uwg, so yeah idk does anyone have any advice? I heard it’s a good school but they said statesboro is really boring

piedmont central shared room

do you all recommend piedmont central with four people to a room? everyone recommends central but idk about sharing a room with three other people and the private rooms are probably gone, I’m not picking my housing until late june because of the time I got. is piedmont north b good? I was considering that as a backup, piedmont A has single dorms but I heard piedmont A isn’t that good. also, who has the best dining hall?

getting into ksu

I think someone asked a similar question a couple weeks ago, but kennesaw required me to submit my test scores. I took the act. the minimum is an 18 for each section. I got a 19 on english/reading but I got a 17 on math. literally one point from getting in. I emailed kennesaw admit and my recruiter but they said they still need higher test scores and there are no more test dates available. the document deadline is july 1st. my gpa is a 3.0, they need a 3.2 for no test scores. is there anything I can do or anyone else I could email? please don’t make fun of me, I know it’s silly I didn’t get in, but I just want to know if there is anything I can do.

choosing a college

hi, I know this is kind of unrelated to kennesaw but I don't really know what other thread to ask. I was going to go to georgia state but now my parents kind of want me to go to uwg. I wanted to transfer my sophomore or junior year but they're really against it. I was considering kennesaw because I feel like it’s not in the middle of no where but at the same time is in a good environment. I also considered uga. if you had to choose would you pick uwg or georgia state? georgia state I've heard is a good school, and being in atlanta is good for networking, on days when I don't have as much studying to do I can do things around atlanta, but I keep hearing bad things at the environment and certain streets smelling. uwg is good as well, I heard they have smaller class sizes and good professors, but I don't know if I would want to stay there are all four years and carrollton doesn't have much going on. I don't have a car like most college students unfortunately so the ubers will be expensive:/

If I ask this on the uwg thread they'll probably just say to pick uwg and the georgia state thread will probably do the same thing and just say pick georgia state that's why I'm asking a different college
