I am used to sailing Wonder of the Seas and we love it, but have Freedom booked and I am really keeping my expectations low due to the age and size in comparison.
We are frequent passengers of Wonder which of course is a fairly new Oasis Class ship. We also do sail on Celebrity Reflection, which is older and smaller but kept up pretty well with great staff. What are everyone's thoughts who recently sailed? I would be on the 6th Floor / Balcony and its double the normal fare due to New Years.. but its pretty much my only cruise option over the holiday for Royal/Celebrity.... I gotta take it where I can!
Some of their add-ons are vague and don't specify certain things, I have seen this in the past. Like one may say (water manufacturer may vary by ship or something). This shows 1 liter in the photo but does not specify that in the description. The thing is there is also a (non beach club) Royal Bag for $27.99 with Evian and those state they are only 500ml. We normally get the 12 /1 liter but only use six or less so thought why not get the cooler bag this time, but if they are the small bottles it wont be enough. I have called and asked before, but you can get different answers from everyone and then you get on board and it is what it is.. so asking here.
I am not familiar with the current go to on Tequila for this sort of thing.. last time I drank it, I was young and everyone just went with Jose Cuervo, I don't even remember different types, and its seems like there are many now? Is Blanco the one now for purity? What is a good choice in the $50.00 range or less to add to my collection for Cocktails? Thanks!
Every time I see these, I think about Paula and her manifestations with her miniature items. I like her and actually think her personality is super cute, even though others don't. Afterall... what else can these be used for????
I have been grabbing fresh lemons and limes but purchased some Master Mixes Single Pressed Lime Juice which seems pretty good. I also now came across the Collins product such as Candied Lemon Slices. Any preferences by anyone, this is for home use only. I am trying to set up so I have items on hand for when friends may ask for a specific drink, so its nice to have items that are shelf stable till I need to open and use them. Thanks!
A couple of classes on a Celebrity Cruise (Martini Masterclass & Mixology 101) got me interested in starting to experiment with Cocktails, but their Coffee bar also introduced me to alternatives to your standard Espresso Martini. This one couldn't be more simple but it really is tasty!
Ingredients - Home Made Real Espresso & Licor 43
Brew two Espresso shots into your cup, make the smaller amount (i.e. 1oz vs 1.5oz) so you don't water it down as you then add a bit of Ice to cool it.
Add ice to your shaker.
Once Espresso is cool, pour into your shaker.
Add the same amount of Licor 43 to your cup that was filled with espresso to create a 1 to 1 ratio, then pour into your shaker.
Shake until too cold to hold and then pour. Some add an ice cube, some garnish with an orange slice. A cocktail, coupe or martini glass all work well.
This is my first post here as I just started to dabble in cocktails. As a diabetic, I always try to find variations on liquors such as Vodka and Gin which wont raise my blood sugar (Tequila can be used as well) Here is one I just started to enjoy!
All of a sudden, the bills jumped up almost $100.00 after pulling both family members off cable because they are on fixed incomes. Anyone know of other options that provide the old style of watching TV/Cable with a remote control etc. This is too much of an increase! I don't remember it being a yearly deal?
I have been bouncing back and forth regarding the two. I am good either way as to commission Split, Investment / monthly cost etc. That does not matter to me up front as much as proper training, and the ability to be competitive with cruise bookings and or other advantages or benefits a host partnered with a good consortia may offer. I will be working with a community of people mostly booking 3 to 7 day runs on Royal & Celebrity with a few others thrown in here and there. I appreciate anyone sharing their experience.
Can anyone offer experience (Not tell me to check HAR etc.) as to who would be best offering Cruise vacations, especially with the RCCL brand of product. This would be the majority of my customer base for the first year, mostly smaller 3 to 4 day runs. Right now I am bouncing between OA, World Via. Also if any has more benefits such as discounts on excursions, add-ons or cabin blocks or a better booking system etc. (or even a worse system, so I know). I have been doing sales and marketing to multiple sectors and incorporated since 2002. I am NOT interested in working as a sub-agent, or hanging my hat with any companies which offer/advertise travel themselves, or have any facet of MLM. I appreciate anyone willing to share! Thank you!
In doing research, I have seen people discussing outdated systems and or situations where they cant be as competitive. My main goal is really Cruises only. I live in South Florida and am already of a scholar of everything Cruising...Specifically the Royal / Celebrity / Silver Seas brand from Ship classes and specs to itineraries, add-ons to even dry dock times and rules and regulations once on board.
Are there any with Hosts with stronger supplier relationships regarding the cruise lines?
Any that offer ongoing cruise specific training, not just standardized travel training?
Do any have access to group space, exclusive or special offers or cabin blocks?
Do they have systems that make quoting, booking and follow up easier pertaining to cruise vacations?
I appreciate any advice, with 30 years of sales experience, the MLM and approach by people trying to prey upon beginners is a joke to me. I know the deal and I am looking to slowly build, but want to choose the best Host Agency (not work as a sub-agent). I do have 30 years plus is sales & marketing, have my own s-corp and active website (or have no problem setting up something new). My goal is to get quality training up front, and I wouldn’t mind a platform in which the company participates and helps each other. In the end though, I would prefer the best company for Cruise booking and Information. I see Outside Agents has CruiseSpace for example. Yes, the split is important, but I would rather start off slow with no quotas and possibly a lower monthly or maybe even one that I can adjust as I grow but I still work as an independent contractor so a $30.00 to $40.00 monthly is fine, and a business expense. I keep getting drawn to World Via and OA but have no clue. I don't want to make a mistake or regret my decision. I appreciate any advice & experience. Thank you so much!

I have become pretty knowledgeable on all things Royal and Celebrity and even create Facebook roll call pages for my upcoming cruises and provide info to all my friends etc. I even get them aggressive rates, but then hand them over to a T/A. My current position selling to the government is starting to get difficult and I would like to diversify. Anyway, now considering at least getting certified or licensed (not sure of proper terminology) but don't know where to start. I have used some T/A's with no memory and no sales ability which can be frustrating to me, especially when I find the deal and then just hand them the booking! I have seen loads of stuff online, also lots of cruise people who set you up under them where they make commissions off you, (MLM or a form of it) or companies like cruise planners who many seem to hang their hat with. I am mostly interested in Cruise Vacations (at least at this point). My wife works as a nurse so my time is limited to get away more than a weekend here and there, so I don't have experience in long and or overseas vacations. Anyway, any advice, would be helpful.. the web can take you in circles. I have found info on CLIA etc. I am aware of the investments necessary as well and have my own S-Corp. I have the choice of Freedom or Wonder to take my adult son who is paralyzed from the waist down. I sail Wonder three times per year, so partial toward that and at first it was my only consideration but now I can also do Freedom and get an extra day for the same price. Even though its an older ship, its a nice size but I haven't sailed that class. Maybe its better due to less people? Elevators can be a real hassle on Wonder. I would like him to experience the Oasis Class ship since its so large, but most importantly I honestly don't know which would be a better set up for someone who has that type of disability. Common sense would say the newer ship would be better? Thanks

I have owned many vehicles, had to get rid of my 2022 Giulia due to a need for a larger SUV but now I no longer need that, so traded my 2024 Dodge Durango V-8 Hemi, and picked up a 2026 Stelvio. I also owned these other sedans, plus a RWD and AWD Infiniti Q50 400HP Red Sport and NOTHING has handled and driven like my Alfa's! So many out there dont even know anything or care about what they drive, but I have to believe that everyone who drives an Alfa is truly about the joy of driving and what a vehicle can provide. I missed it!
This Question would be more about using the item as a sweetener as opposed to eating a food which the sweetener was an ingredient in. Which one was a problem for you and which one did you end up using instead? Thanks!
