Should I watch?
I played both the games, love them. I recently replayed the second game for nostalgia and considered watching the show too. I've seen a lot of criticism over time in regards to the show so I'm a little unsure. Is it worth it?

I can't watch a video without it lagging. My phone has a lot of storage and good ram so it has to be the app. It started after the latest update.
I've been living with my parents for 20 years now. They've always been emotionally abusive towards me and my siblings, which is why most of them moved out and one of them cut contact with them. I'm 20 years old and struggling to find work, so I have to live with them. I don't have anywhere else to go.
Multiple times my father threatened me, even one time he threatened to kill me with a gun. He works at a prison's arsenal and has access to guns. My mom is emotionally unstable and likes to guilt trip people. She never sees the fault in her actions and instead blames other people, like me. They've hit me a few times but stopped when I was in highschool and a teacher saw my bruises. They were threatened by the school to stop or else I'll be taken away from them. But the emotional abuse and neglect never stopped.
Just a few hours ago I heard my parents talking about me and making assumptions about me. They didn't do anything to hide the fact that they were talking to me and made sure I heard them. I've recently had stomach problems and I have an infection down below. Sometimes my stool comes out green, like today. I told my mom about this so that she'd be aware, and she went to tell my father. But my father instead assumed that I wanted to go to the doctor again just because of my green stool, which I never said. He thinks that I want to go to the doctor because of every little problem of mine (his words). My mom agreed with him. I went and confronted them about it and all hell broke loose.
They shouted at me for accusing them of gossiping and told me that I was being rude. I was left in tears. I talked to my mom but she instead acted like a child and announced that she'll never talk in this house again. And then she just mentioned my high school and how they "messed me up and turned me against them." I told her that wasn't the truth and she almost hit me. What stopped her was that she apparently felt a pain in her heart. She's been known for faking things in order to get what she wants. She's even admitted to doing that with her mom.
She went to my father in the kitchen, crying and clutching her chest. I went to my room to cool down and (Trigger Warning) thought about cutting myself. I have done it before but stopped a few years ago. My father came in and threatened me afterwards:
"If anything happens to your mom and you're the reason, you better run. Run far far away because I will kill you." (More or less what he said)
I'm serious when I say that I don't know what to do anymore. I'm always walking on eggshells around them and being blamed for things that aren't my fault. I'm currently in tears as I'm writing this. I'm at my breaking point and seriously think that I won't survive much longer if things go on like this. A lot of my friends know about my parents and hate them for how they treat me. Even my father's friend who genuinely cares about me is concerned.
I'm seeking advice, please. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I'm alone and need help.
I live in South Africa. For those who aren't aware, the majority of people here are christians. Some are good and others are very toxic. I grew up in a christian household with parents who forced it on me.
When I was in my third year of high school, I slowly came to the realisation that I didn't like being christian. I did research in my spare time and came to the conclusion that I was a satanist. I told my closest friends and they were all fine with it (except one who never really liked me but oh well). But then during my second last year, I went from being a satanist to an atheist. That was also around the time I realised I am non-binary and pansexual. I had a lot of people support me back then, and still do.
My public high school was a christian school, a very toxic one in my opinion. The teachers forced the religion down the students' throats (and I'm pretty sure they still do). If word got out that you were either part of a different religion or that you were an atheist, almost everyone would turn on you and bully you, including the teachers. There was this one teacher who openly admitted to hating people who had different religions. And it was considered normal to the teachers and the principal.
Sometimes the principal would invite their local priest to come talk to everyone. And if you weren't there to listen, you'd get suspended.
I knew a bunch of students who were their for the academics and sports and who were either atheist, or part of another religion. They kept it a secret from everyone but felt comfortable with talking to me and my friend group about their troubles. Me and my friends were all very supportive and understanding and we were often bullied because of it.
During my last year a girl had heard that I was an atheist from someone and confronted me (in a rude fashion). Not many students liked her because she had her head up her ass 24/7. She asked me why I was in their school if not for religion. I simply replied: "for the academics." And she scoffed like it was a cardinal sin to be interested in your grades and future. And when I graduated, I was one of the top students in various subjects.
I'm posting this here to let people know about the dangers of Uber/Bolt drivers.
I just heard from my aunt that my nephew ordered a bolt car today to go to work. The driver of the car pulled a gun on him and stole his phone and belongings. He let my nephew go afterwards, thankfully, but he's very shaken up.
To everyone who regularly uses Bolt or Uber or whatever, stay safe out there. There are some really messed up people out there.
I'm a 19 year old who's secretly non-binary and pansexual. I'm also an atheist. I've been hiding these facts about myself from my parents for 4 years now because I know what kind of people they are. Both my parents are Christian and homophobic, and they've never been quiet about it. My older siblings were always reminded during their youth that being gay or lesbian or whatever (their words) is a "mental illness." This went on to the point where my oldest sister (32) cut them off entirely after getting married to a woman. My parents never brought it up to me or my other siblings again.
My mother (57) is quite toxic, homophobic, and manipulative, but still tries to be there for me and the kids she has left in her own way. My father (58) has major anger issues, is also homophobic, and narcissistic. He's a bit more distant than my mother.
One night I wanted to try something. I knew that I couldn't ever come out to my parents but decided to test the waters a little. I first asked my mother if she'd ever disown me if I told her something about myself. She said no. I then asked if she would support me if I identified as something else, and she said: "As long as you're not gay, then yes." That's all I needed to know and decided not to press the matter any more.
I then went to my dad and asked him the same questions. His answers were a little more aggressive than my mom's, which I expected:
"I'll slap you across your face if you dare be gay. God intended for you to be a woman and marry a man someday."
I expect these sorts of answers from them. I know that coming out to my parents isn't an option and I'm not entirely okay with it, but what can be done? My older brother (28) knows that I'm pansexual and non-binary, and he fully supports me, all while keeping it a secret from our parents obviously. My other siblings don't know and I don't know if I'll ever tell them (I have 3 sisters and one brother). I am aware that my parents aren't good people, but at least I have other family members and friends who love and support me for who I really am.
Since most of the chat styles are gone or will be gone soon enough, did the devs ever give an explanation for doing this in the first place? Surely they should know that this would only cause for more users to leave and not return. And out of all the chat styles that they could've chosen to keep, they chose the two worst ones (in my opinion).
Pipsqueak is such an annoying chat style and breaks so many times that it's just frustrating at this point. I've never used DeepSqueak and don't ever plan to so I don't know how good or bad it actually is. But judging by what I've seen before on this sub where people complain about it so much, I have a fairly good idea of how it actually operates.
I got the game today and already have played it for ten hours. I have 11 followers in my cult and had already killed the boss Leshy. Currently I'm trying to kill Heket but keep dying. Any tips that could be helpful for me?
