What Do You Wish Someone Told You Before Your First Move/Storage Unit?
First time moving out of an apartment and putting most of my belongings into a storage unit. I’ve never moved before, and I’ve also never used a storage unit, so I’m looking for any advice from people who have done either!
What moving tips do you wish you knew beforehand?
And for storage units, is there anything I should know about packing, organizing, protecting furniture/belongings, choosing a unit, etc.?
Basically, anything that made your move easier or saved you from making a mistake. Any advice is appreciated 😊

Couple late 30s Moving from northeast
Hello Redditers in Georgia! We are relocating to Georgia for a job in Atlanta. Multi cultural couple, no kids yet. We Want to rent to figure out what we like as far as towns and getting familiar with our new location. Looking for safe, welcoming, friendly communities that are also not too far for drivability to Paces ferry area in Atlanta. We have been advised to look at Decatur, Sandy Springs, Marietta locations thus far. Would like a luxury apartment for convenience and comfortability. Someone also mentioned Piedmont Hills?
