Tilbury Rainbow Spectrum 1000pc

I avoided this for so long because I thought it would be hard. Turns out it was extremely easy once you get going!

Just a question

Let's say for example I need 1500 calories a day. I'm wanting to lose weight so I eat 500 less to make 1000.

For weight loss, if I burn an EXTRA 500 on-top of what my body already burns throughout the day, does that mean I get to eat that 500 calories more and still be in deficit? Does that make sense?

I eat 100 calories for breakfast, burn it off during a workout...am I at 100 calories still or I'm at 0 and can still eat 1000 for the rest of the day?

Struggling with the thought of working again and being alone when my kids grow up

I suppose this could be a diary entry but I'm really struggling with the idea of going back to work and my kids going to school/growing up and I figured maybe you guys would really be the only community who really understands.

I worked all my life and planned to go back when my first was born in 2023. My partner at the time was doing really well with his business and said just quit and stay home as we were both iffy on sending her to daycare. We had another in 2025 and while some days I've lost my mind, this overall has been the best time of my life. My plan was maybe go back when the kids go to school but his business is stalling due to his customers' business stalling. Not to mention the economy is in the shitter, taxes coming out of our ass, grocery bill sits at $300 a week. My partner wants help, he's depressed and I know it's selfish of me but the thought of me going back makes me sick. I was a good worker but fuck, I dealt with customers for 15 years in various jobs and it was the fucking worst. I couldn't give two fucks for a workplace or climbing a ladder, the co workers, even people's opinions on me being "lazy" or "unmotivated" whatever. I enjoy looking after my family, thats it. A job will replace me the minute I walk out the door but I'm irreplaceable to my family.

It's also been hitting me lately that my kids (one and three) will be off to school in a few years time. The everyday parks, walks, adventures, playing, sleeping all together... I cannot believe it all comes to an end. I will never spend as much time with them as now. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to all the good in the future and watching them grow but it makes me SO unbelievably upset to think of them grown. I'm really struggling to deal with this.

This is also on top of me thinking about the state of my family. My parents are in their 70s and I only speak to one person in my entire (huge) family. Once they die, I feel like the funerals will be the very last time I see anyone from my side. I have no family and no friends. I wish I could go back in time and have 10 kids just to always have a full house. The thought of my kids going off into the world and it becoming just me and my partner again is too much to bear at times. I have it in my head that if I had lots of kids that the house will always be full and then full again of grandkids but I know more than anyone just because you have a big family doesn't mean everyone will get along. I also fear my girls may hate each other when they're older.

Does anyone feel the same?

I know people will suggest I find friends, join groups etc but I've always struggled. If I've struggled this long and had every opportunity to make friends before kids, why would it be different later?

A heads up to anyone who buys Mt Ossa 10l Water.

Please check your water. Found this all throughout the water. I am horrified I've been filling my kids drinks and never knew this was floating throughout it. Tried to contact the company but I'm getting an auto email back stating the Enquiries email doesn't exist.

Date on the box is 15/06/2028.

Many people have been making complaints too.

To answer those who ask why I'm buying water instead of tap, answer is because I can.

This is just bringing attention to those who have purchased this water recently.

How long did it take to potty train, start to finish?

We are starting in a few days time. I have an almost 3 year old who seems ready but we'll give it a try and see how it goes.

I got training undies although, the consensus when asked about starting was just go straight to undies so I'm about to go buy undies as well.

I want to lower my expectations so I'm wondering how long it took for you to potty train your child and if there were any set backs and how did you manage those, specifically if they refuse to sit on the potty? Do I just continue to let her wet herself until she gets it?

Tips and tricks for potty training please

Hi all. My almost 3 year old will be starting potty training this weekend. I got her some training undies and a potty and I'm just wondering the best way to go about it. I'm planning to stay home for a few days but have a few questions.

Should I do the waist down nakedness at all during this cold weather? Do/did you find it helpful? Do I keep her in just the underwear or should she wear pants as well during the first day especially?

What do you do if your child refuses to sit on the potty during this process?

When we do leave the house, say we go to a park with no toilets, should I bring her potty with me or do I just change her when we're out?

I'm also planning to keep nappies for nap time and bed for now. At what point do I switch to night underwear?

Any more tips, tricks or advice is welcomed.

I just need to release my feelings right now

Really, I should be doing it in a word document but the kids are both asleep finally (and together!) so I don't have long before they wake and its back to it.

I'm tired. I'm so mentally tired. I have no support and I'm doing it mostly alone. My partner does what he can to help but he works almost constantly. I know he's insanely stressed. The business. The mortgage. The bills. The constant calls and emails, I know his work doesn't stop. I have no family here as I moved interstate. My family is broken apart so I really only speak to my parents and one sibling who I talk to on the phone every few months. I had two friends back home but I haven't been back since 2019, we've only had a handful of chats on FB since. Are they even friends anymore. Their daughters play together. Mine miss out. There's no one here to play with. No friends or family to visit. We attend playgroup but I just don't vibe with the mothers. I feel like the odd one out. I suck at conversation. We just don't click.

I constantly have to play with my toddler. She's full of energy from 6am till bedtime. My baby stays awake for hours after the toddler goes down for the night. She wants to be held constantly. I have no time for myself. Barely get to read or watch TV because I'm constantly interrupted. The kids are with me constantly even on the weekends, they barely hang with their dad. I go to the park and have to juggle both of them . My baby eats everything but it's walking and also hates the pram so I have my baby in one arm while helping my toddler on the equipment and pushing her on the swing. Outings I do all by myself and struggle with two kids who want different things. They cry and whine alot. I look around and see everyone with friends or even their partners. My partner won't even take them to the park. Everything I do is by myself. I'm just tired. I'm always on. My baby woke for almost 5 months every single hour and now I'm finally getting sleep but I'm still so tired.

I cry alot because I can feel myself getting frustrated with my toddler because she constantly asks me to play with her. I have things to do. The house is in chaos. If I don't clean, who will?? I feel emence guilt because I love staying at home with my kids. We are so privileged. I am privileged to do this. To be able to stay home and watch them grow up. To not be away from them and work so I cry alot about that guilt I feel.

I'm just really feeling it today. The guilt. The frustration. We're also all sick and I still got to power through and look after everyone. Try and be at 100% for my kids.

I'm tired.

Do you guys have a system set up in your car for emergencies?

We unfortunately had to go to Emergency yesterday and luckily we were only there for two hours but the only thing I grabbed was my nappy bag which really only had nappies, wipes, a small pack of tissues and hand sanitizer. I realised how ill prepared I was when sitting and waiting.

I'd really like to buy a weekender bag and pack it with stuff for emergencies that I could keep in the car with things like spare clothes, toiletries and some entertainment items to keep the kids occupied.

I have a almost one year old and almost 3 year old.

Would love to hear your set up if you have one or just a list of items that you think would be handy to keep in the car if I didn't have time to pack.

I have a beautiful almost 3 yr old girl who's very social at the park and the last time I was there, she was saying hello and talking to a lot of the adults. Now it's nice to see, but I think she would definitely be the type to go off with someone if they said they had something to show or give her. She regularly asks for help up on the playground from others and thankfully the other day the dad stood back to let me come over and help her.

How do I approach this topic without putting fear into her of people. Are there any YouTube videos she could watch or books I could get for her? How do you guys talk to your young ones who may not fully grasp what you are saying.
