Looking for a decent vertical turntable that will play 78s for a bookshelf setup

Hi I'm probably chasing a unicorn or worse yet a cryptyd here, but I'll ask anyway. Is there a reasonably decent vertical turntable that will play 78s? I used to have an old newcomb school record player (the wooden portable type that weighed about forty pounds) as my daily driver so I'm not looking for anything hi-fi! In fact I'm happy with mono sound! I just want something that won't fall apart or damage my records. It would be easy if all I had was 33s or 45s but I'd say 70 percent of my record collection is 78s. Unfortunately now that I'm living in a very tiny apartment I have no room for a conventional turntable or even my portable newcomb, it's got to go on a bookcase and that limits me to vertical. Are there any vintage models that would work? Something like a columbia gp3 would be perfect if only it played 78s!

Information on a vintage DTC drive

Good evening guys. I was rummaging through my old parts and I came across this Beastie. It's a DTC brand "HF24-DR" 5.25 floppy drive with a SCSI interface (and what I assume are spots for terminators abve the plug) does anyone have info on it? It looks awfully similar to my olf 6.6mb Kodak 5.25 floppy drive. So I assume it's some sort of oddball high capacuty drive? Any help iis appreciated as I'd love to get this old beast up and running, thanks!

question about the seagulls Around kapitan brassmann from werner

moin moin! I have an odd question. As an American with only a small child's grasp of German (I can ask basic questions or give directions but not really hold a conversation ) I have had a lot of trouble understanding all the jokes and indeed sometimes the plot of the Werner movies, although I like them a lot and wish america had something similar. That said I would like to ask what is up with the seagull..... Spirits? That take care of the drunk Capitan brassmann and seem to act as his guardian angels? Is there some idiom or north German legend about seagulls being sailor's guardians I'm not aware of? I always guessed it was supposed to be the literal effect of the saying "du habt eine Vogel (im die kopf)" so let me know if you know! Thank you!

Truly noob question from a first time buyer

So I'm looking to buy my first shotgun. I don't have a great deal of experience. Just an old Enfield rifle and a truly terrifying homemade pipe shotgun (not my build before anyone asks, and yes I got rid of it!) I'm looking for a jack of all trades that I can go deer hunting with and is a decent indoor home defense unit. I really like the oldschool Ithaca auto and burglar and I REALLY like the California arms "defiance" can anyone recommend a good beginner shotgun for me to 'cut my teeth on' so to speak? I'm looking for something dead simple so it need not be automatic or a revolving shotgun (the MTS-255 is cool as hell but I know I'd blow my arm off with that thing hahahahaha) thanks in advance guys!
