Bought a Loona robot dog for my daughter who has bad allergies and a million questions

In my case, while my daughter is an animal lover she also has awful allergies. She asks many questions daily. So she decided the best pet would be a Loona petbot and that for her birthday we should get one since we can't have pets. She will keep talking to it endlessly; it answers her questions, susses out conversations with her. Not sneezing out brings a joy to see her. Sharing for other allergy parents.

In the cold plunge field, quality and service are way more important than brand premium.

Why would people spend thousands of dollars on a luxury cold plunge product? Are these expensive products really better value for money than so-called cheaper, cost-effective options?

I’ve seen way too many people in this sub post for help after dropping thousands on 'luxury' brands, only to realize they were just getting fleeced by overpriced products with low quality assurance.

I’m not saying expensive stuff shouldn't exist—sometimes you do get what you pay for. But the real issue is whether the actual product quality and customer service even justify those insane price tags.

XAVI Simons’ surgery was a success

Tottenham’s medical team believes that, based on early post-surgery observations, Simons is the type of player who recovers quickly from an ACL injury, and his rehabilitation period will be significantly shorter than Madison’s.

(Do we trust Tottenham’s medical team, though? Let’s hope they didn’t botch the surgery)

Narwal freo z10 turbo is finally coming 😭🎉

I’ve had the freo z10 for a year. The original one we bought still works fine, but we’ve been wanting to upgrade for a while, almost pulled the trigger on the Flow 2 but budget was tight, so we held off. Never thought we’d see a z10 upgrade!... so hyped! cannot wait to get one.

Attached our baby Felix and old servant freo z10🐾

how we stopped our customer-facing ai from crashing during peak hours

we've been trying to keep our customer support bot stable. the underlying llm api we rely on is great for response quality, but it randomly throttles us or spikes in latency during our busiest hours.

we were wasting so much engineering time trying to build custom timeout logic and failovers in-house. Half the time, our messy retry scripts would just cause even more latency. the support team would get furious because the bot was just hanging for users mid-conversation. Managing the infrastructure was honestly becoming a bigger headache than actually developing the core product.

we recently ripped out our custom routing and put everything through an api gateway. we're using zenmux for it right now. The automatic failover completely saved our uptime. If the primary model throws an overload error or takes longer than a few seconds, the gateway instantly routes the prompt to a backup provider.

the users don't notice a thing, and my team isn't getting paged on weekends anymore to fix broken connections. Getting all the request logs in one central dashboard also makes debugging faster than digging through our old messy server logs.

Curious if you guys handle api stability in-house or outsource it to a gateway?

My wife keeps complaining that our current vacuum is too heavy, so I’ve been looking for a lightweight cordless option that’s easier to use around the house.

I came across the Honiture X7 and it seems pretty portable and reasonably priced, but I haven’t seen many real long-term opinions about it.

Has anyone here actually used one? How’s the suction, battery life, and durability?We mostly have hardwood/carpet/pet.

Thinking about getting it as an anniversary gift to make cleaning a little easier for her, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback before buying.

Country - U.S

Budget - 600$ to 900$

Stores that sell in my country

Flooring types - almost all flooring types including wooden and ceramic

pretty sure my api gateway is secretly routing me to low-quality providers

I'm starting to think my api gateway is secretly routing my requests to cheaper, lower-quality versions of the models I expect. over the last week or two, logic and reasoning have just felt off. Ive been using one of the larger gateways to handle everything, but lately the quality is worse.

specifically, i run some complex writing and logic tasks that used to be very consistent. now, the outputs are just generic and lazy. i can mess with the prompts as much as i want, but it doesn't change the fact that the underlying reasoning feels watered down compared to how it was last month. i was mostly using sonnet4.6 through this service, and the difference is pretty noticeable.

the main issue is that i don't know what’s happening behind the scenes. they just give a single endpoint and i don't get any information on the upstream providers or any kind of performance logs that would prove what am getting. It feels like am being charged full price for the high-end stuff while getting a cheap knock-off instead

curious how other people deal with this kind of opaque routing. It's frustrating not being able to verify the tech we're using. has anyone found a reliable way to run independent tests to make sure you're getting the right model version?

  1. A starting-caliber winger capable of playing both left and right to rotate with Díaz and Olise respectively;

  2. A backup striker who can both finish in the box and drop deep. Can serve as Kane's understudy or play alongside him with frequent interchanging movement across the attacking and midfield thirds;

  3. A young pacey right-back to compete with Laimer and eventually take over as the starter in a few years;

  4. A young midfielder with aerial and progressive passing ability to add physicality to the midfield and increase tactical versatility;

  5. A promising young central defender ideally to take over from Tah provided we sell Kim Min-jae first.

I've tried a few of these newer high-puff disposables that have a Normal and a Turbo or Boost mode, and I'm starting to think its mostly a gimmick.

most of the time the little light on the device changes, but the actual hit feels almost identical. I'm looking for something where switching to Turbo gives a noticably stronger throat hit and more vapor, not just a slightly warmer feel.

You'd think with 50mg nicotine, a real power boost would be obvious but it rarely is. Has anyone actually found a disposable where the different modes are legit different? Just looking for something with a good MTL draw on its normal setting that can switch to a punchier hit when I want it.

Saka currently has two major problems.Tactically, Arsenal rely heavily on the winger to provide width on the right flank. When Saka pulls wide, he is left with very little space on the ball. Defended tightly near the byline, cutting inside becomes his only option. Arsenal tend to overload the right half-space, creating congestion and making it hard for him to operate.His athleticism has dropped, and he can no longer beat opponents easily. He is pressed aggressively and quickly every time he receives the ball, often choosing to shield it with his back like a centre forward. We can see how many times this happened against Atletico Madrid. He needs to break free early or make quick combination plays with teammates.Saka still retains solid one-on-one ability. Given enough space, he can easily take on physical defenders like Hancko. Creating that space is down to the coaching staff.

Bought a cordless vacuum on Amazon a few months ago. Nothing fancy, just something in the $150–$200 range. Worked fine at first. Battery life was okay, suction was decent for the price.

Now the filter is starting to smell and the brush roll is worn out. Went back to Amazon to buy replacements and… nothing. Can't find any official parts. Can't even find third-party ones that clearly say they fit.

Tried contacting the seller through Amazon. No reply after a week. Went back to check their store page and it's just gone. Like the brand never existed.

So now I have a vacuum that still runs but slowly becoming useless because I can't maintain it.

Is buying directly from a brand's own website the safer move? At least if they disappear I know who to blame? Or do brand websites also randomly shut down?

For people who've been burned by Amazon-only brands before — what do you look for now to avoid this?

I think Bayern did everything they could in this game. They had so many, so many chances to score, plus they had no subs, no manager on the touchline, Musiala was basically invisible, and then you throw in a totally out-of-depth Stanisic. Meanwhile, PSG had everything going perfectly for them.

On paper, Bayern were never going to match PSG’s conditions, and they were playing away too. This result is actually not bad at all. Even as a Bayern fan who’s usually super critical, I’m okay with it. After all, it’s just a one-goal deficit on the road, and with a manager of that caliber, a single goal lead is basically meaningless going into the second leg.

I truly believe signing Bernardo Silva is crucial. He's available on a free transfer. Even though his wages are high, Lewandowski's contract is expiring soon, so there's room in the salary cap. The main thing is that he can cover for both Pedri and Gavi. We wouldn't end up with only one playmaker on the pitch if either of them is out.
