Which Visa appointment to choose for a 4 month Erasmus+ internship in France?

Hello, my internship will last approximately 4 months and I know that I need a long stay visa. But there are 2 types of sub-categories as you see in the VFS Global appointment options. Which one am I supposed to choose ?

Is there something wrong with messervices.etudiant ?

I have to register with it to apply for CROUS as an international student but it keeps showing this error right after I enter the code that I receive at my backup e-mail.

I have submitted a support form but I don't know if they will even respond. Is this a common error for this site?

Attestation d'hébergement for an international student

Bonjour,

I am trying to use DossierFacile to validate my documents to rent an apartment for my 3 month internship in France (apparently no one wants to rent out for such a short period) and I have to either show last 3 receipts from my dormitory or have one of my parents fill out an Attestation d'hébergement.

The thing is, if I have to put receipts, they will be in a foreign language and I doubt that any government official would approve them.

Would it be okay if I simply have my parent fill out an Attestation d'hébergement ?

Which insurance company to use for Responsabilite Civile?

Hey,

I am about the sign a Convention de Stage with a university lab in France and it seems like I have to get a civil liability insurance for any damages can be done in the lab.

I have taken a look at HEYME but lots of information is in French and I do not want to have to deal with that.

Is it wise to wait until I arrive to France to rent an apartment as a student?

Bonjour,

I'm a non-EU student looking for a 4 month colocation in Rennes, starting from September.

I have been browsing Studapart and it seems like I have to pay a booking fee (350 Euros) and 250 Euros for the Studapart garant. Honestly, I don't want to pay 600 euros before even seeing the place.

Would it be risky to rent a temporary accomodation for the first month and look for an apartment while I'm there? Or would it be too late to find an apartment at that time?

How important are references for an admission?

My GPA is just below 3.5/4.0 and I am planning to publish a conference paper. After asking around what other students' GPA scores, I began to worry for my application which I will submit next year.

I will be doing a lab internship in France, would a reference letter of a professor who is from a school like CentraleSupèlec, Mines Paris or some other prestigious school be a game changer for a non-EU student?

Are there decent career prospects after finishing an Energy masters program?

Bonjour,

I am fairly interested in the master's programs with Energy themes such as these:

https://www.universite-paris-saclay.fr/formation/master/energie/m1-energy-international-track

https://www.ip-paris.fr/en/education/graduate-programs/masters-science/energy-program

https://psl.eu/en/education/master-s-degree-energy

Would you say that there are opportunities that would be viable for non-EU students who complete these degrees? I am specifically thinking about orienting towards renewable energy or smart grid fields.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this !

Can I rely on Studapart Cancellation Insurance?

Bonjour,

I am looking to stay for 4 months in Rennes but I have still a month or two until I get my visa. Does anyone have experience with Studaparts insurance when you can't move because your visa got rejected? Do they refund the deposit and the booking fee?

What is the entry GPA barrier for Paris Saclay - M1 International Track in Electrical Engineering?

Bonjour,

My plan is to apply and get into this program in 2 years and I am curious about the GPA requirement. I have concerns that my 3.4 GPA (Electrical Engineering undergrad) will not be sufficient. Do you have any anecdotes about the GPA levels of the people admitted to this program?

How am I supposed to socialize if my program is not cut out for it?

I'll be doing an Erasmus internship at CentraleSupelec in Rennes, France but it doesn't have many students there and I believe that this school is not the first destination for people looking to party and meet people since it's more on the competitive side.

I'll be working in the lab until 16.00 every day and most people coming to Rennes for Erasmus are admitted to different schools other than mine so I will have to put more effort.

How should I go about meeting people other than joining the local ESN? How do regular Erasmus students meet each other?

My program feels useless

Hi, I have been working out since a few months, I have progressed in my weights but it's really slow. My only goal is the gain volume and aesthetics.

I heard that this is called a brosplit and not efficient, I would be happy if you could also confirm that. This is the program I have been using:

Day 1 (Chest and Biceps)

Chest:

Bench Press 3x8

Fly 3x10

Incline Press 3x10

Biceps:

Barbell Curl 3x10

Dumbell Curl 3x20

Dumbell Hammer Curl 3x20

Day 2 (Back and Triceps)

Back:

Lat Pulldown 3x10

Row 3x10

Pull-ups 3x6

Triceps:

Pushdown 3x10

Overhead Extension 3x10

Day 3

(Break)

Day 4 (Shoulder)

Overhead Press 3x10

Dumbell Lateral Raise 3x10

Dumbell Front Raise 3x10

Dumbell Shrugs 3x10

Day 5 (Legs)

Squats (3x10)

Leg Press (3x10)

Deadlift (3x7)

Day 6

(break)

Is a 4 month duration sufficient to develop a serious relationship? 23M and 23F

So I [23] have met the cutest girl [23] I have and will probably ever meet in life almost 2 years ago in my week long trip to Italy. We met 2-3 times in this very short period and kept in touch by texting each other about our lives every 1-2 months since then.

I will be going back to Italy for 4 months and I feel like there is a great chance that we can enter a serious relationship if we get to see each other frequent enough because it's evident that we have a chemistry together.

For now it seems like I will be able to see her only twice a week during these 4 months but the possibility that I would have to leave the country before we get closer eats me inside every god damn day.

Do you think I'm just being too hopeful or optimistic given this time constraint?

TL;DR: I want to develop a serious relationship with a girl but I will be able to meet her only 2 times a week for 4 months.

Bonjour,

I will be doing a 4 month internship in France. I wish to do it a bit longer, like 5-6 months in total but there are some uncertainties that prevent me from starting out with a longer period written in my Convention de stage.

Is it possible to extend my Convention de stage and VLS-TS visa near the end of this 4 month period? Is there a precedent to this that you know of?

Merci.

I've been working out regularly since 6 months or so and I have noticed that while my weights increased, I observed little to no visual development.

I also realized that I am not getting enough daily protein. So my question is that, if I were to start consuming a lot more protein, can I see a quick rebound effect in the coming 3 months?

Bonjour,

I am a non-EU citizen and I will be doing a 4 month internship in Rennes starting at the end of August.

The issue is, I have to wait until I get my funding approved so that I can send the 'convention de stage' to a certain ministry and get it back so that I can apply for a visa. So I can not apply for a visa eariler than mid June.

I want to look for an apartment but I can't show more than 2000 euros which I have in my bank account because I haven't received my funding yet.

I want to also find someone else to move in together with me but I don't know how I can convince someone when I don't even have a visa.

What do you think I should do now? Wait until I get my visa after mid June? Wouldn't that be too late?
