How to drive (if my dad and sister refuses to give the car for me to drive because they fear I will crash, scratch or something worse will happen)

I have been going to therapy to be able to drive again (I have my full G). My dad had an accident and it forced me to stop driving for 2 years. Now I’ve been taking driving lessons again (5 so far) and the car my mom gifted my sister for graduation is supposed to be shared, she refused to . My dad would rather chauffeur me (mind u idk if he is even supposed to drive), then let me take an Uber or bus in the time being. I’m thinking of getting a third hand or second car. Renting a car is too expensive and car sharing isn’t quite possible. I have to hype myself to drive and I’m getting much more confidence now, finally after two years of not driving. I no longer want to feel like a prisoner but an actual adult. What do u do in this situation?

Does Telus have any family plans that have large data add ons?

Currently paying $265 for 5 phone plans on Koodo, it’s definitely not worth it (except for the 100 GB & plan rollover). Thanks!

1yo refuses to walk on walks, scared of everything, cars, people, shivers but reactive towards other dogs. I don’t know what to do

He literally refuses to walk, is a 1 yo mix chihuahua neutered male. He lays down and I’m working on his leash reactivity (pulling). I’m starting to hate the one thing I look forward to. We go on walks every dinner day, what do I do?

How to help my mom

Is this financial/economic abuse?

My dad (60s) keeps demanding to see my mom’s (60s) private bank account on the bank app (he gave her some money from an accident claim). Mind you they were also in serious debt and managed to pay it all off this year. Today he demands to see if her health insurance claims went through and when I (30F) voiced up he told me to shut up. Mind you she’s pays for everything in the house, he is disabled and has his own money in a separate bank that he doesn’t let anyone access. Should she change banks? Is there any way to protect her? He has began to read and open our personal letters and receipts so idk if it’s some paranoia there or what.

Edit: he is demanding to see her manulife account to see ALL her benefits and payouts and is even saying “He just said my money to help you grow.”

Isn’t it illegal to have access to someone’s bank accounts? Are there legal ways she can get help to leave (he is the type who will do threats)

EDIT: thanks for all ur comments. This is SOLVED now, thanks!

Graduate students: can you do a thesis in fourth year instead of third year

If you petition, can you do thesis in 4th year as opposed to third year?

I’m currently in my second year part time of the MI program with a collaborative specialization in something else. I really want you to do a thesis but due to family and health issues, I had to switch to part time. I know you can petition to the committee in third year to do a thesis (after fulfilling required prerequisite courses first), but has anyone done it in fourth year or higher? Thanks.

Deferred a winter course that I finished assignments for last Tuesday

I received permission by my faculty’s committee to defer and submit everything. They said that’ll show as SDF on my transcript in the meantime. However that was a week ago, now it still just shows IPR. Do I have reach out to them again or should I just wait? Thanks.

What are the places to board two neutered one year old dogs?

Preferably a single day from 12pm to 9pm or overnight (June 9th) Petsmart & Rover are not options. (& one pup is slightly reactive but we’re working on it). Thanks!

If I tell my therapist about how my mom got physical in one of our arguments. Would she call the cops on me? I’m 30, I really want to move out but COL is extreme here, (my sister is saving up but so far it’s not enough), I’m in school full time, I have a puppy and my mental health is horrible. Ii have already been in context with accommodations and mental health services at my university. I have been on leave from work due to family situation that is a long story on its own.

If I tell my therapist about how my mom got physical in one of our arguments, would my mom get in trouble (or my dad)? Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot how America centric Reddit is. I’m in CANADA.

Need to store an older family vehicle for at least a year to two years away. Apartment parking only supports 2 cars. Any suggestions? Thanks!

SELLING IS **NOT*^ an option
