Got bitten by "Edge: Too Many Requests" for Yahoo Mail

I've been using Thunderbird for like forever. For longer than that I've had a Yahoo Mail account. It's never been a problem. Until now. I now get that "Edge: Too Many Requests" blank popup when trying to get the mail. Worst, I actually have two Yahoo Mail accounts. One I only use as the recovery account for the first one. Which I just had to use to get into Yahoo Mail with the browser and it had to send a code to let me login. The problem is that second account worked fine two times and now it also has the "Edge: Too Many Requests" popup. What?

So I searched and tried the recommended things. The first was to try to create a new account. That didn't even work once. Since the first time I tried to get message that popup happened. I tried the app password thing, same popup. I've tried leaving it alone in Thunderbird for a while to let it calm down. So far, I still get the popup.

I see that most people say it's a Yahoo problem and has nothing to do with Thunderbird. Either it's a mail server problem or a OAUTH2 problem. That doesn't seem right to me. Since using another email client, everything works fine. It's even another Thunderbird email client, K-9. So if it is a Yahoo mail server problem, why does it work just fine with that?

Other than keep waiting, people have said that it just starts working again after a while, I'm at a lost of what to do. Did I miss anything? Has anyone else had this problem in the last few days?

Why doesn't my phone ring?

When someone calls, the google voice app doesn't ring on my phone. I just get a missed called notification afterwards. I do have the option checked to have the phone ring. It used to work. But it hasn't worked in weeks. Is there anything else I can check to fix this? I did check the volume to make sure it wasn't on mute.

I really don't drive my car, what's the cheapest insurance I can get to keep it on standby?

So I just filled out my annual mileage report for one of my cars. I drove a grand total of 2 miles this last year. This has been going on for about 10 years. The last time I got gas was before covid. This is my backup car. It just sits. I start it up and drive it around the block once in a while. I want it insured just in case I ever need it. On my current insurance, they have me on a 7500 mile/year plan. I've spoken to them a few times over the years and they say it's the lowest I can go. Is there another plan I can get to bring my premium down? I've had older cars in the past where I could get "classic" car insurance which would greatly limit the miles per year but was much cheaper. That would be perfect but this car doesn't qualify since it's too new.

I've looked into those per mile insurance companies. Where they charge a base premium and then additional premium per mile. But they ended up being the same or more than I pay now since I've been with my company forever and thus I get a lot of discounts. When I get quotes from other insurance companies they just flat out say there's no way they can match what I pay now for the same coverage.

Concrete dust bloom during construction.

My neighbor is having work done on his property. Whenever the contractor cuts concrete, cement or stucco. A big bloom of white dust drifts up and over the neighboring houses. I understand this dust is dangerous. I notice that when the city works on the sidewalk and they have to saw it, one person's job is just to stand there with a hose to keep the dust down.

It's not constant. It's just every once in a while for a few minutes. Is that just the way it is in residential construction? Or is it something I should deal with? I'm sure there are plenty of people on this sub that have had work done on their houses. How did you contractor do it? Did they try to keep the dust down or did they just let it rip. I notice these guys aren't even wearing masks. They are just there cutting while a blast of dust bounces right off of them.

I saw an ebike pull over.

Over the decades, I've had cops ask me about whatever ebike I was riding at the time. But generally that was out of curiosity. Since I was riding them long before they were popular. Last night, I saw an honest ebike pull over. Two police cars with lights on pulled over someone riding an ebike on the sidewalk. They did that walk up from behind like they would for any stop. It was a smallish person, probably a teenage, riding one of those souped up mini motorcycle type of ebikes. He had on full safety gear including a jacket and a full helmet. I think what got him was that he was riding on the sidewalk.
