Learning watercolor on an old drawing.
I posted the drawing of these here a while back and I’ve been learning watercolor on some of my old drawings so I thought I would share the painted versions.
Am I not inking enough or not burnishing with enough pressure? Why aren’t my blacks coming out?
Don’t get me wrong I’m happy with the print and like it. Just trying to figure out how to improve the richness of the blacks. I’m using battleship grey Lino, caligo safe wash ink and strathmore printmaking paper. I’m pressing by hand using a baren. Any advice would be appreciated.
Just started exploring Linocut print making. Is there anywhere in Madison that has a press I could use?
My very first Linocut ever
Got a lot to learn and improve on but at least did something.
The last few days of studies and practices.
I try and draw everyday and usually try and alternate between something organic and something inorganic. Some days the drawings turn out better than others but even when they turn out bad I tell myself that tomorrows will look better haha.
Drawing lessons for adults.
I’ve been trying to teach myself to draw over the last month or two and I want to try something more structured. Does anyone have any recommendations for drawing classes or art teachers?
Baby’s first mech
I’ve only been drawing for about two months and this was my first attempt at a mech of any kind. Exosquad inspired.
This is my favorite sketch I’ve ever done.
How do I fix the wing perspective?
I’m not very good at non organic/mechanical/hard forms so I’m trying to practice them more.
