One Piece Luffy 29th Anniversary

Did not think I was actually going to get one of these especially since they said they were sold out the first 30 mins I tried 😭🙌 Was anyone else able lucky enough to get one? Bandai of course made a ton for Japan it sounds like but doesn’t seem nearly as many for America

PSA Price Estimates

Lmao I’m not sure how PSA came up with this one. The last Squirtle Pokemon Go PSA 10 (Pop 28) went for $2,000 in April but PSA has it at an estimated worth at about $180. Meanwhile, the Charmander Version last sold for $350 in a PSA 10 and they now have the evaluation at $2,131. I know it’s not 100% accurate all the time but these sales happened months ago, how does this even happen 😭

Monkey D. Luffy P-037 GenCon

I know this Luffy gets a lot of hate (based on the last post I made about it) but I was finally able to get a handful of these in person last month and wow. I own a lot of OP from textured finalists to treasure cup winners and more, but the combination of reflection of light and texture on this card stands out to me more than I’d say a large majority of the OP cards I own in my collection. There are so many cool different angles you can look at this card and each time you’ll get a new color, pictures almost don’t do this card any justice. Thought I’d show some appreciation 🔥

Also I have no idea why but the market seems to be more interested in the 1st anniversary version of this card which has 3,300+ copies graded (4x+ more), doesn’t have iridescent reflection and also doesn’t have any cool texture like the GenCon version (733 copies graded). I see the 1st anniversary version listed/selling for $600-$800 while the cooler and rarer GenCon version lists/sells for $800-$950. But hey if people want the 1st anniversary version/don’t like the GenCon version by all means let me buy more 😎✌️

Roronoa Zoro P-042 Finalist - Top 5 Rarest Zoro Cards

Made a post a bit ago how the Zoro P-042 Finalist card may become one of the most desirable Zoro cards of all due to its absurd scarcity/rarity (even more than the serialized) and unique artwork. A decent amount of people disagreed that it wouldn’t, but if you take a look the most recent high sale was over $9K+ and there’s currently a bid for one at $7,300 with over 3 days left which shows there is definitely demand for this card. Not saying it has the demand the serialized ones have yet lol but it’s certainly on the rise

I was also a bit curious about its rarity so I went and looked and from what ChatGPT picked up this is the 5th rarest Zoro card in the existence of all of One Piece TCG, truly making it a holy grail. Even more so than the Zoro Treasure Cup Top 8 and the Zoro Serialized by more than 10x.

1.) Zoro ST21-015 Champion - 7 Copies
2.) Zoro ST21-015 2nd-3rd Place - 7 Copies of each
3.) Zoro 3-on-3 Cup Winner - 36 Copies
4.) Zoro P-042 Finalist - 52 Copies
5.) Zoro ST21-015 Treasure Cup Top 8 - 128 Copies
*Honorable Mention - Zoro Serialized English Version - 600 Copies

I wanted to double check but does anyone know of any Zoro TCG cards rarer than these? Cause I think in terms of rarity and scarcity for Roronoa Zoro cards the ones I listed are it

New PSA Cases

Has anyone noticed the new slabs PSA is using? Idk if anyone has gotten a recent batch back but some of the batches seem like they have the new cases. I’ve cracked dozens of cases before with relative to no problems usually from the bottom. However these ones were incredibly hard to get open, the new slabs I got were a lott more flexible than solid. I couldn’t even get in from the bottom I had to go in from the top and pry it open and then bend the top till it flattened. It’s actually better protection for our cards but harder to get open. Again crazy how flexible these are but I’ve become pretty hesitant cracking open a lot of these since it’s a lot easier to damage the card. Luckily both mine ended up being fine but does anyone have a better method for these new slabs?

Zoro & Sanji ST12-001 Leader Rising 📈

The Zoro & Sanji ST12-001 Leader has seen a lot of action over the last couple weeks going from $135 in a PSA 10 earlier in the month to consistent sales around $300 to the last PSA 10 sale being $365. This was one of my favorite leaders when these decks first came out so I’m not too shocked to see this happen, also considering it was a fixed print and has a pretty small PSA pop of 346 so it still is rather scarce in a 10. There was a more recent sale for $1,075 but I’m not sure if that’s real atm, but whether or not that one is real or not this card is seeing some real traction based on the amount of $300+ sales recently.

Charmander 9/108 aToys R Us

Recently got a 7 on this Charmander which isn’t the best grade so I went and took a look at comp prices on eBay, and during that the first Charmander PSA 7 I see is the disgusting 3rd photo I left 🫩 lmao I know it’s more than just corners obviously that count but holy sh*t the back of that one makes mine look like a black label in comparison and I know mine has flaws 😭 like I’m sorry but I don’t get how that back is considered near mint or seen as the same as mine 🥲

One Piece Premium Card Collection Vol 7. Hidden Cards

Was luckily able to get my hands on the new One Piece PCC Vol 7 collection 🙌 No luck with the mat though lol 🥲 Does anyone want to take a guess at what these last two promos could be? Been seeing some people think it could be related to both OP15 + OP16 based on the cards already revealed. I’ve been following OP TCG since the start and I actually don’t recall them ever hiding any of the cards for pre-release so I thought this particular release was pretty interesting

Luffy + Zoro DEMO Decks

Okay I think it’s time we talk about these Luffy & Zoro demo decks now that it seems there aren’t any more American events that these will be released at (JapanExpo will have French version of decks). What was the purpose of making these decks for such limited and small trial runs when the Let’s Learn Together sets and the original errata demo decks are still being distributed and printed all around the country? In fact going into the numbers, it would appear there were barely any of these things made.

If you go onto the official One Piece TCG website there are actually only 5 listed events this entire year that had these decks, and all of the American events have already happened. The only one left is Japan Expo, but the odd thing is the Japan Expo decks will be in French not English. That means, according to the OP’s website, there’s no more events that will hand these decks out.

Numbers; OpenAi was pretty helpful here. I didn’t have a good idea of how many of these decks would be given out but OpenAi helped narrow it down. It found these events tend to have 4-8 tables on average (8-16 players) with 15-minute matches happening simultaneously (4 per hour). You also don’t get to choose which deck you select and you leave with the deck you used as the gift. With that information and data put in, it came to the conclusion that of the 3 days they would hand out nearly 1,000-1,500 total decks for this event.

It suggested all 4 of the English events disturbed 1,000-1,500 of these decks (though most of the other events were two days so it actually might be closer to 1K). That gives us a total of about 4,000-6,000 total of these English decks made. Or 2,000-3,000 of each Luffy and Zoro deck. Please correct me if I’m wrong here as this part is important, but from what I’ve seen and from research it would appear they don’t have any future plans of releasing these again.

I’m more so confused why they just decided to make these in the first place if they were planned on being so limited, but what are your guys thoughts on these? Imo it’s an insanely cool product having some of my favorite artworks in a DEMO version, but also a very weird product they decided to make since you would think it being a DEMO there would be a lot more of these around instead of being limited.

DON!! 2nd Anniversary Set

Still think this is the best DON!! card they’ve made for any anniversary set so far and just one of my favorites overall. There are a TON of these things left for sale on TCG so if you ever wanted one of these Don’s it shouldn’t be too hard atm!

Luffy P-037 Sales

Does anybody know why the 1st anniversary version of the Luffy P-037 is selling around the same if not more than the original? There are nearly 6 times as many of this version of the card vs the original GenCon one. The GenCon is also textured and looks unbelievable in person while I believe the 1st anniversary isn’t textured

Naruto Bandai TCG

Me when I found out the news this morning about the new Naruto TCG 😭😂 In all seriousness I love that Naruto is getting the official Bandai treatment in the TCG field. Maybe wish Bandai could focus a bit on more printing for OP first lmao but I’m definitely looking forward to it, especially if they give the same amazing treatment they’ve done for OP with these new cards! What do you guys think will this be something you guys collect along OP? I certainly would love to

Luffy + Zoro Demo Decks

Please correct if I’m wrong, but I’ve done a lot of research and I believe these Luffy Zoro demo decks might actually be a lot more scarce than I thought. Figured it’d be a good time to talk about this since the individual cards are starting to sell for $100-$300 each. Also with the help of OpenAi I was able to narrow down an estimate of the amount of these decks handed out.

If you go onto the official One Piece TCG website there are only 5 listed events this entire year that had these decks, and 3 of them already happened. The only ones left are Supernova Perth and Japan Expo, but the odd thing is the Japan Expo decks will be in French not English. These aren’t handed out to local TCG shops either (though someone did tell me they had some at the Red Sox One Piece night). That means, according to the OP TCG website, there’s only one official event left this year that will have these demo decks in English.

Numbers: This is where OpenAi was helpful.

It suggested all 4 of the English events disturbed (will distribute) 1,000-1,500 of these decks *though most of the other events were two days so it actually might be closer to 1K. That gives us a total of about 4,000-6,000 total of these English decks made or about 2,000-3,000 of each Luffy and Zoro deck.

This is where I could use some help, does anyone have any idea of what their future plans with these decks are? Everyone I’ve spoken with and based on past releases it doesn’t seem likely they will release again. Typically One Piece pre-plans its seasonal event prints before it all starts so that way they have all of their product before distribution. In very rare cases, demand keeps certain promos alive and reprinted. I don’t think that will be the case for these since I would say 90% of the people I’ve brought these up to didn’t know they even existed.

Clearly the future value of these decks is depended on if they make more. It’s odd, you’d think with a demo deck these things would/should be everywhere but for some reason they’ve made it very limited to a few trial sessions at events. Even the GameStop Set Sail event this year used the original Luffy demo decks and not these new ones. Again please lmk if you have more info. If they don’t go printing these anymore look out because they will be very scarce while having exclusive versions of some of the best One Piece TCG artworks out there.

*Disclaimer: I own multiple copies of these decks.

Monkey D. Luffy P-041 China Joy

With the next China Joy approaching in about a month, I thought it’d be a good time to bring light on a card that I feel has been ridiculously slept on and that the market might have just missed. This is the 1st official China Joy collab with One Piece TCG.

This event was held for just 4-days in China in the summer of 24’ and that’s it, that was the only possible way of getting this card. It also wasn’t a card given to every guest, you had to get these at a single bandai booth which had limited daily quantities and often ran out in the first hours, many of the people at this event didn’t even get this card. Compared to the 2025 Zoro China Joy which was handed out to every single attendee/in every goodie bag. From looking over the numbers online it’s estimated these were only made in the thousands.

Secondly, for a desired promo/artwork, there are only 43 PSA 10 copies of this card currently in the world (less than the Luffy P-033 Finalist). PSA 46 copies, CGC 16 copies, BCG 1 copy, ASG 0 copies. Not only that, its last PSA 10 sale was back in Nov 25’, for $115.99… There’s only ever been 2 recorded PSA 10 sales and there aren’t even any PSA 10’s online for sale atm.

I’d argue besides the non-foil Paris shop promo which came out last month, this is by FAR the rarest foil variant of this card around. More so atm than the 1st Annv Complete Guide JPN variant with 1,500+ copies graded and even more so than the 1st Annv Winner EN variant with 1,000 graded copies that currently go for $3,500 in a PSA 10.

I’m surprised considering that OP is huge in China rn and that the Zoro China Joy is doing so well right now (raw copy just sold for $500 compared to Luffy at $90) people slept on this one. In fact, there’s already 200+ graded copies of the Zoro China Joy (5x more) and that card came out a whole year after this Luffy version. To me at least lol, this is screaming there is a huge price disconnect gap between this card and the rest of the OP market. Even if all the copies left available online were theoretically bought and graded right now the pop count would most likely still be close to or below 100.

Maybe I missed something but I’m shocked this Luffy didn’t get picked up and noticed more, even more so considering at this point it’s a much rarer variant of an artwork people really love, Chinese cards are selling very well rn, and on top of that it has historical context being the 1st official China Joy One Piece collab. What do you guys think?

PSA Fingers in Photo

Guessing this means this will be the last time I see this card before this PSA employee steals it 😭💀 Lmao but in all seriousness probably the first time I’ve seen this in grading hundreds of cards

How did this Black Label?

How did this get a Black Label? At this point I’m aware clearly not every Black Label is actually 100% perfect, but I feel like this is unacceptable. Besides the obvious off centering from right to left and the slight off centering top bottom, if you look at the top right corner it literally has whitening on it. Not even mentioning the edges on the back right aren’t perfect. I don’t even think this would get a PSA 10 let alone maybe a PSA 9. Again I’m used to a lot of Black Labels not being 100% perfect but this is highly concerning

Monkey D. Luffy P-108 Tin Vol 3 *Asia Exclusive

Does anybody know or have an idea of how limited/rare these tins will be? I was able to luckily grab a tin from my friend for retail but haven’t been able to find anything close to retail since. I think these are my favorite tin promos yet so I’d love to be able to eventually get my hands on some of the others

Monkey D. Luffy ST21-001 Learn Together Buyout

It would appear there was a buyout of this card recently as the cheapest copy you can pick up on TCGPlayer is going for $45. Does anyone know why the sudden pick up in value for this card? It’s my understanding they’re continuing making the Learn Together sets so a little confused/interested. I actually bought 10 of this card a year ago for less than $10 so I guess I lucked out 🥲

Luffy P-022 Film Red

Interestingly enough, the Monkey D. Luffy P-022 non foil has seem to become the most desirable card of the limited One Piece Film Red Edition Promos, even more so than the foil Luffy P-022.

History: The EN version doesn’t come from the Red Film binder but originates from a 5 card promo pack set for Film Red and was given out to 1,200-2,000 participating local TCG stores. *Set included Luffy, Shanks, Uta, Gordon and Law. They were given kits with 16-32 Film Red packs and it’s estimated 20,000-40,000 of these packs were given out. Divide that by 5 and that gets you to an estimate of around 4,000-8,000 of these cards made (which is actually a lot less than I imagined). For reference the RedBull Luffy promo only was estimated to have 4,800 of those made so it’s a relatively scarce card.

Most recent PSA 10 sales were at $475, $540 and $750, and it would appear this could be a card heading towards $1,000. This card has also shot up in value raw a few months back up to around $70 a card but came way back down and you can still grab it for $15-$20 a copy, however with its recent PSA10’s sales’s hitting new highs I’m not sure how much longer that will last.
