-11.5 & -12 distortion differences

A lot of people asked me in my last post to see a comparison photo so here it is! Top is me with my contacts, and the bottom two are my two pairs of glasses in different styles. I bought them both from Eye Buy Direct, which was my first time ordering glasses online. Both pairs are 1.74 high index lenses. I knew I was taking a chance when ordering with my prescription but I ended up loving the results.

Models on website not wearing size Large pants

This is kinda random but I noticed recently that none of the models on the website are shown wearing a size Large in pants. I went through like 80% of the pants listings and had yet to find one. I wear the Large size in pants so I don’t feel represented at all. But I DO appreciate that they generally use a super wide variety of people to model the clothes.

-11.5 & -12; Switched from rectangular to circular glasses

I am so glad I got circular frames! They really help with the thickness and distortion. I’ve worn rectangular styles most of my life, so it took some adjustment but I’m happy now. 🤓

Tama mail! Both of them arrived today. 😍

Not gonna lie, my 37 year old self did feel a bit “unc” as the kids say, seeing that the packaging for the Pix is being directly marketed to preteens. 😅

Coach store in Seattle airport

I’m sleep deprived and waiting for my flight out of Seattle, and I thought I’d go check out the Coach store just to browse. I wasn’t expecting to see most of the scarlet bags coming out next month, including the chain Chelsea! I also saw the brown loved leather, which I thought looked better in person. I can’t buy any of them at the moment, but it was great physically seeing them. 😍 I’ve personally had my eye on the Coach Brooklyn 34 in the scarlet color. I didn’t have my phone with me so no photos, sorry. 😅

Someone bought my item and is selling it at a higher price before they even have the item in person

Gonna try and make this as short as possible. A buyer purchased a bag from me for a great price and then last night out of curiosity I checked their shop and they have the bag listed using my photos for a higher price than what I sold it to them for. They don’t even have the bag yet as shipping from where I am at can take weeks.

I messaged them confused, and they responded to me very matter of factly like it isn’t a big deal. I reported them and I got a response from Team Depop that it is fine for them to have an item I sold to them listed using my photos. Isn’t it technically drop shipping and isn’t that not allowed?

Why I feel crazy is that isn’t this considered something scummy to do? Both the buyer and Depop’s help team are completely ignoring the fact that this person doesn’t even have the bag yet, and are acting like it’s the most normal thing in the world. I feel violated immediately by this entire situation, kind of gaslit, and although it’s within the buyer’s right to resell something I sold them, it just doesn’t feel right.

This is my first time experiencing this after selling on Depop for almost a year.

Editing to add that the bag has been shipped out, but they don’t have it in their possession yet.

Baggu getting decimated in the comments on Instagram

Not sure how many of you saw, but the comments on Baggu’s latest post are roasting them for how whimsical their advertising is compared to the bags that are going to come out. These comments are getting hundreds of hearts! I wonder if Baggu is going to actually listen. We yearn for the whimsy!

Finally!

My journey to try and acquire the Dakota crossbody bag started the day it first came out. I added it to my cart and decided to wait a couple hours before purchasing just to make sure I actually wanted it. It sold out before I could finalize my decision.

Ever since then, I’ve tried ordering it a total of six times. I tried the Coach website, Amazon, and my orders either got cancelled or had a technical issue. I was ready to give up but then saw it in stock a few days ago. I purchased it and then nervously awaited its arrival today. Part of my nervousness is because Coach has sent me the wrong bag before, so I couldn’t fully feel any excitement until I had it in my hands, which was today.

It’s absolutely perfect and everything I wanted in an everyday bag. I love all the zipper compartments and the way it feels wearing it crossbody. I can’t wait to use it! I don’t believe in purse peace, but I think this is the closest I’ve come to feeling it since I started collecting.

Current tama run

I never thought I would be taking care of five at the same time but here we are. 😂 I got my first one (the Connection on the lower left) back in late March at Barnes & Noble, and the latest one is the Uni which I bought off FB Marketplace from a very sweet seller.

So far it hasn’t been too much of an issue to take care of them, thanks to the option to use a tama sitter for the top three while I’m at work and leave them at home. I do take the two Connections with me everywhere, though.

Ordered a bag online, then cancelled the order

I saw that a bag I really wanted was on sale on a popular website, so I placed an order excitedly. Then the reality crept in about how I need to get my car looked at and have dental bills to pay, so I cancelled the order. I’m proud of myself because it would have been easy to justify due to the monthly payments, but I really do NOT need another bag.

Bunny showing up while tama sleeps?

Is this a normal occurrence? This is the first time I’ve encountered an item showing up on the screen while the tama sleeps. It’s super cute. 🥹

Finally came in the mail!

I was never into the monogram print on Coach items but as soon as I saw this one I loved it immediately. First plaza bag, too. 😍

Finally using my madras SCCO for travel

So far it’s been great! I can’t imagine carrying this without it sitting on my luggage, but it’s light enough that I could manage it okay if I had to gate check my bag.

Traveling and Ebola

Hey everyone. I will be flying to the east coast in the United States next week and I have had this trip planned for months. I have read several things about Ebola that have made me super paranoid about contracting it while I’m traveling. I’m more worried about being exposed to people in the airport for long periods of time during my layovers. Aside from wearing a mask, I am trying to think of other things that would help me feel more safe.

The blurred gingham worm made a home in my brain

When the blurred gingham print was released, I thought it was ugly and was shocked anyone thought it was cute. Then a few weeks ago something clicked in my brain and suddenly I actually love this print? I love it so much I sold one of my prized SCCOs to replace it with a blurred gingham SCCO. Anyone else experience this?
