As a Lego person I would normally be excited about this. Unfortunately B&M has developed a bad reputation in the past couple of years both at the corporate level and store level.
Read more about this on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bricks\_&\_Minifigs%E2%80%93Reckless\_Ben\_controversy
Now each store is a franchise and so is independent but being part of a company that’s been accused of a number of anti-consumer actions is concerning.
Hopefully the owner will conduct themselves fairly and with integrity.
Don’t forget there’s an independent Lego store in Bellefonte named Bellefonte Brick Studio who has been a good business for several years.
A very cool after game event last night. A drone show with 100 drones in formation. Since it was Star Wars night the drones formed various character images.
First time I’ve seen a drone show. I’m a drone guy and I was impressed how stable 100 drones could be as well as the radio communications needed.
Over 5k people in attendance - new record.
Sorry no pics came out.
Reddit has lots of mysterious algorithms for examining every post. They don’t tell us but it’s obvious from the ones here that your post likely will be removed for these reasons:
1 and 2 together seem to be the key factors in Reddits automated removal.
I look at every removed post and will approve any post that appears legitimate. Sorry if your post doesn’t make it. I remove very few posts on my own.
Mine should be in soon and wondering if people are following the owners manual recommendations for driving during break in period? Speed? Braking? Etc?
Once I get it I will need to immediately take 300 mile round trip expressway trips at 70-75. Any thoughts on that?
So many posts from people spilling everything on their computers. Enough is enough. It’s exactly the same response over and over. A dozen or more a day.
Would the mod be open to just creating an automod respond and then closing the post? It’s really not adding anything to the sub expect showing peoples ignorance.
The response is always the same - there’s no discussion or new knowledge coming out of these posts.
Thanks.
What are folks doing? I’d feel bad tossing it as it’s a work of art in itself but it’s huge. I assume like any other Apple product being mailed in for service they’d send a specially made packing box (I live hours away from an Apple Store).
I’ve been seeing ads for Journavx being touted as an effective non narcotic pain med. It has FDA approval and they’ve also touted it.
This would be a great option for people who don’t want or can’t control narcotic medications. There’s only one issue - it’s crap.
In terms of the kind of pain it treats is very limited. It’s non effective for chronic pain nor back pain. It only works on nerves so pain source from the brain or spinal column wont be affected. The mechanism only seems effective on peripheral nerve mechanism on arms and legs.
The studies showed it’s weak compared to the gold standard Vicodin. Unfortunately this will further reduce doctors willingness to provide narcotic medications that are effective and for most people used safely and effectively.
This issue with this is it requires doctors to closely monitor their patients and what doctor will do that anymore.
Here’s a good write up on the drug and its good and bad aspects.

What are folks thought on the 20” wheels. I see some folks online dissing them and recommending the 18”.
Look around but couldn’t find the length spec for the charging cord. Anyone know? This is the Level 1,2, DC fast charging cable.
I have about 15 ft from 110 v outlet to car.
If it’s shorter anyone recommend a CCS extension cord? I see a bunch on Amazon. Or is a heavy duty outdoor extension cord safe to use?
Is it worth ordering a NACS to CCS adapter? I can’t really think of any scenario when I’d need to use NACS chargers.
Tired of screwing around with my Hyundai dealer for an Ionic 5 so plan B. Just took a RAV4 out on a test drive and I liked it. I missed the tall ride after 13 years of driving a Prius.
With my driving patterns I won’t need gas for 2 months. 8-). Wanted a particular build so I’m happy to wait a month or so - Storm XSE with all options.
Couple of negatives however. It’s not as quiet as I’d hope although still quieter than my 2013 and 2021 Priuses. And only comes with black/ blue interior. Glad it’s got cooled seating.
Anyways excited for new one.
Sadly a small crowd. Still an enjoyable time.
Are we talking 27 Beta here?
I’m confused about Siri. I see everyone demoing the Siri globe but it doesn’t work for me and I see this in the release notes:
>You can now activate Siri by looking at the Siri “orb” and speaking, as an alternative to using “Hey Siri” or “Siri”. This feature is disabled in Beta 1. (177137200)
If it’s disabled how were people demoing it? Do I even have Siri AI? There’s no option to join the waitlist. Confused.
US account. US English.
I picked up a Beelink Mini Pro to play around with and this will be my first Unraid setup (coming from Synology NAS currently serving as a media and Time Machine server).
I have the drives to fully populate the device with 2 10GB 10TB 3.5” drives and 3 1GB 1TB m.2 SSDs (1 x2, 2 x1). Does this make sense?
What configs would folks recommend? Also want to start doing some VM stuff as well.
Probably start with USB drive installation. Thanks.
I was curious about how that specific number came about. Usually the right just makes shit up but in this case there’s an actual source.
Turns out it’s a UK source (figures) from a 2015 report:
https://www.bbc.com/news/health-66852503
Even the people who produced this report are regretting the statement and pointing out how uninformed science was at that point. Some groups in the UK are still sticking to this point of view but in the US the AHA doesn’t.
Everyone agrees flavored versions are directly marketed to children not as a smoking cession aid and that other quitting strategies are far more efficacious.
So why is this mysterious group giving Trump a blow job in its commercials? That I couldn’t find any evidence. I assume it’s a PAC funded by tobacco. They must have had leftover money after they gave Trump 5 million
https://finance.yahoo.com/economy/policy/articles/poisoning-american-kids-big-tobacco-194500411.html
Without a shred of evidence that vapes are either safe or at least helpful to quit smoking Trump approves their flavorless varieties use in the US.
The article shows the large political donations involved as well as the motivations to approve including MAGA youth use of vapes.
