My family and I are not from the US. My brother went to the US for studying, found a girl in his second year of college, dated her and then married her. They now live together. My family and I have been to the US thrice, met her all three times. This time when we were visiting, we had planned to stay with them for a month. However, due to my brother's pet cats that my mom was very scared of, and his wife's house rules (changing after returning from subways, keeping shoes outside, her constant policing in everything, only my brother washing the dishes and cleaning and her not helping in anything), we just didn't feel comfortable staying there anymore, hence we shifted to a hotel. Once, when we were in the subway, my brother asked my mom if she had closed the window. My mom said no. He had never asked us to close it. He then rolled his eyes and said the cats can jump outside, which was physically impossible since the window only opens a little bit for fresh air and has a net behind it. My mom then agreed to go back by herself for the first time alone to his apartment, close the window and then stay there (as coming back would be a long trip again). She got lost a few times on her way back alone, and I think that's what frustrated her. She sent my brother long texts on how she's sad over this behaviour. My brother’s wife read those texts, even though I told my brother not to show them to her. She acted normal afterwards like nothing happened. I talked to her about it for a while and she just kept saying she "expected this".
Anyways, that was the backstory. Last night, I found out she has blocked all of us on Instagram. Even though, we're all going to a trip to Niagra falls (funded by my dad), my mom had given her $5000 when we came, along with a bunch of gifts. When I asked my brother about it he said she has deactivated her account. I may only be 16, but I have 5 accounts on Instagram, its very easy to find out who has blocked me, considering also that Instagram literally shows you deactived accounts in the followers area. I told him I know she's blocked us, and that it's okay. He just aggressively changed the subject. He gets very defensive whenever she's mentioned.
I just think sometimes you have to put your "peace" aside and just do something for the formality of it. We protect our peace too much. She couldve blocked us after the trip was over. She's had us on Instagram for over 3 years. To me, it's hypocritical to block someone on Instagram and act normal in real life, which is what she's been doing as she posts everyday and I haven't seen her stories for a week, but never noticed she had blocked us until now. What's more crazy is how my brother's willing to lie to us about it. Like wtf? My brother has severe anxiety when his wife's mother comes over since she's very strict. I bet his wife would not have been fine if my brother blocked her mom on Instagram. Yet, he's completely fine with this.
I get if she dosent feel comfortable having us on it anymore, but there's a time and place for everything, idk.
Should I address this to him again? How should I act on our trip? Am i overreacting? Please let me know
Hi guys. I was travelling out of country and ran out of storage so decided to clear some photos. I don't know what happened after that but every photo on my phone is permenantly wiped. I could swear I only deleted the millions of documents and 6 large video files I had. I did permenantky delete 19k files, but it wouldn't let me view so many files while they were in my recycle bin, so I thought it was just documents. It's my fault, and I know.
I recently downloaded diskdigger to recover files and I think it may have recovered some. Though, I cannot view them. It says "unsupported". Anyway I could view even one to make sure these are the right files?

I have dry skin and a few very tiny comedomes on the left side of my face. I'm 16 years old. My face looks absolutely wrecked in a flight, and I would love a refreshing, bright look that enhances my complexion. I have these 3 options (pictures attached). Any suggestion would be much appreciated!
Hey everyone! I've heard a lot of good things about this De la cruz sulfur mask. I have closed comedomes (particularly very tiny bumps and whiteheads). They are very very few in number and mainly only on the left side of my face. I have dry skin. Can I use this mask? And if so, how often? Will it be effective? And when can I start seeing results?
Hey everyone! I wanted such NYC inspired nails. I had a lot of inspo pictures so I had to copy paste/draw some nail designs to get the set I wanted. However, I don't like all of these. For example, I'm not a big fan of the right hand's ring finger (the flower design), as I feel it dosent go well with the rest of the aesthetic. Also, I don't really like the left hand's ring finger.
Please let me know what designs look nice and which don't, and suggestions for the designs that don't look nice.
I want the base colour to be like a natural pinky skin tone
I feed my brown roofed turtle 4-5 pallet sticks during the day, and some vegetable or fruit at night. I try to go for leafy greens. I feed him as much as the size of his head.
Additionally, I add a calcium block in his tank once every 2 weeks.
I used to feed him dried worms once a week but I've had those worms for so long (about 2 years) and I'm afraid they've gone bad so I stopped feeding him those about a year ago.
I've done this routine for 5 years, with additions as he grew.
Is his diet alright? Please let me know any suggestions
P.S: I cannot feed him live fish, crickets, or earthworms etc as they are not available in the country I live in
Is my turtle's shell healthy? I hope that's not shell rot in the back. If it is, please let me know what I can do. He just shed off many of his scutes a few weeks ago
Also, is it a male or a female? I remember searching Google once 5 years ago - and based on what I found I had assumed its a male. But I'm not entirely sure. His tail is very short, and like a thin triangle.
I have had such acne/ closed comedomes (unsure of what it should be called) on only a part of my forehead and the left side of my face (pics attached, it's only where it's shown in the pictures). I have been using a salycilic acid serum (2%) for around a week but its only helped a little. I use it everyday at night (I've used it before and started using it week to week and then increased usage)
I use a face wash twice a day which has: Lipo Hydroxy Acid (LHA / Capryloyl Salicylic Acid) Salicylic Acid (BHA) Mandelic Acid (AHA) Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) Vitamin E
I also use a non-comedogenic moisturiser in the evening
But I've only noticed a little effect. I've been using the face wash for 2 weeks, and the salycilic acid serum and moisturiser for 1 week.
I've stopped eating junk food and sweets completely
These comedomes were mainly due to exam stress, since my skin had otherwise always been very clear. My exams ended 2 weeks ago. I'm unsure if I should continue with my routine or use something else. I do understand this won't go away overnight. Please do help out or give any advice
I'm sorry the pictures aren't the best quality. I tried using low exposure on the second picture so the bumps show. When I look in the mirror tho, the bumps are like the 1st, 3rd and 4th pictures
I recently changed my brown roofed turtle's water depth from like 4.5 inches to 7 inches. My turtle is around 3.5 inches. I was told by many people that his water level is too low, even though I had the same water level for 5 years, they told me that the length of time ive had the water level for doesn't matter since adaptation is not equal to thriving. Hence, I just followed the rule of thumb where the water level should be twice the turtle's size.

I adjusted everything in his tank accordingly but I feel he's scared in the water now - especially at night. He does bask, and I did try the same water level for a few days before so it's not new, but I'm just really scared that the water level is too much for him. What do you guys think?

Hey everyone. I really need urgent help. I live in Pakistan and had always used a UVA+UVB combined bulb for my turtle, and it worked fine, but I decided to change it after years of consistent use (as its heat power also reduced over time). When I ordered a new one from Daraz (an online shopping website), they sent a 110v one, even though my dad had ordered a 220 v one which is the voltage of Pakistani households. Hence, we did not check what voltage came and it overheated and stopped working. We ordered it again, thinking we had ordered a 110v last time, but they sent the same 110v AGAIN. We sent it back for a refund since a converter from 110v to 220v would have costed a lot. Please if anyone knows of heat bulbs in Pakistan send me the links. I've spent SO MUCH time searching but can't find anything. All the stores are charging PKR 3,000+ for a very cheap quality bulb which is insane for me since I got it for PKR 1,000-1,500 always. I know they cost more in the USA etc but they really don't cost much here I'm being scammed :( Please help me out 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Also my heat lamp (in which the bulb goes) is this one (pic attatched). I've heard that metal shouldn't be used but this is the best I could find here. Can someone send links if they know better options or is this fine too?
P.S: I've had my turtle for 5 years and he's happy, he has a good big tank and I do have considerable knowledge regarding turtles. So please don't think I'm treating him badly, trust me I do more than my best.
