Small tiara recommendations?

Hi guys! I'm looking to see if anybody has any smaller, everyday tiaras in their cc collection. I want my royal Sim to have a tiara that's more suitable for everyday wear.

All the tiaras/crowns in-game are pretty big, and while there are a lot of beautiful cc tiaras/crowns I can find, they are all pretty mid-sized - large too. I'm looking for something a bit dainty. Any recommendations? :)

Can anyone help identify this fish?

Hi! I’ve rescued a fish from an abandoned tank and I can’t seem to get a clear answer on the type of fish it is. Everyone seems to agree that it’s an African Cichlid, but I’ve been told different things when it comes to what type of African Cichlid; Shelldweller or Malawi Peacock seem to be the most popular guesses.

Since it was in an abandoned tank, stress may be causing its color to be dull/pale. It has gained a lot of color recently, so I’m guessing it is either orange or yellow.

It was in a freshwater tank. Its behavior seems to be a lot of hiding near the bottom of the tank and behind rocks, but again, that could be due to its environment. It has been a bit more active recently, but will shy away if anyone gets close.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Are these shells big enough?

Hi! I’m completely new to owning fish and TLDR: I’m taking in an African Cichlid that I’ve been told is believed to be a shell dweller. When purchasing shells at the store, I was told by an employee to be careful with the big ones in the pack, because our fish could “get stuck.”

We weren’t given any alternative recommendations for shells and the variety pack were the only ones in the store. However, I know they like big shells to hide in, so I went on Amazon and bought these instead. My partner and I want to be sure these are big enough before setting up the tank to ensure our Cichlid won’t get stuck. Any advice?

EDIT: For context on this little guy’s situation, here’s a post I made in another subreddit. I was told to start feeding him for a bit to give him strength/lessen his stress before moving him to another tank, which is what I’ve been doing since that post. If anyone has any advice for a first-time owner, or can help in confirming that he is a shelldweller, that’d also be welcomed!

I wish the Neighborhood Stories feature was a little less… intense.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Neighborhood Stories feature. I really like the idea of unplayed households doing their own thing. It's fun to see different townies get married, have another kid, change careers, etc. For me, it brings a bit of livelihood to the world that I would typically enjoy in a Sims game.

However, I hate how it is so... intense? Extra? Nobody ever stops having babies or adopting. Ever. It's constant until their household is completely maxed out. I mean seriously, almost every unplayed household is at its maximum capacity because they genuinely never stop. It feels like my 2nd generation Sims are always marrying into a family of 20 and their spouse will have 8 siblings minimum.

I understand I have the power to disable Neighborhood Stories, or maybe mitigate it by periodically turning it on and off, but even then, you turn away for 5 minutes and they have 6 new babies. Regardless, I just wish I didn't have to do that.

What to do with a fish who has survived alone in an abandoned tank for over a year?

Okay, I think I need to start with some background for context on how this poor fish ended up in this situation:

My uncle inherited a property from his mother. At the time, his friend needed a place to stay, and my uncle agreed to let his friend move in. Unfortunately, that friend passed away, and my uncle discovered that his friend had been subleasing the property without his knowledge. Long story short, the tenant left, and there was a giant fish tank left on the property. The tenant said he'd return to get the tank while moving out, but never came back for it.

After a few months, my aunt and uncle moved into the property, but never removed, drained, or cleaned out this fish tank. They're pretty old and had no means of getting it out at the time. Again, it is a big fish tank. They thought the tenant took most of the fish with him, and they checked for any dead fish while moving in. If there were any, they were removed. This entire time, they've thought there were absolutely no fish in this tank whatsoever.

Well, I've been staying with them for a few weeks, and today I saw a fish swimming around in this tank!! I thought I was crazy at first (or something came alive in there), but upon further inspection there is definitely a fish swimming around. I have absolutely no clue how this little guy has survived: they moved into this property in January 2025. Again, they have done no maintenance on this tank whatsoever since moving in.

Can anybody give me any insight on what to do? What's the best way to go about saving this fish? I have no experience in fish care and I'm especially wary considering the circumstances. I don't want to abruptly take it out of its environment, put it in new water, and accidentally kill it. Any tips on what to do in this situation would be greatly appreciated. I can answer any questions for clarification if needed.
