Is this second hand gaming pc worth it?
Hello, first time buying a gaming pc. I found a second hand one on fb.
The specs:
RTX 3060 12GB / Ryzen 5 5500 / 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD
Price is $450
My goal is to learn about machine learning, simulation and occasionally play games (1080p). I was thinking I could upgrade the gpu later if it’s not enough.

Coworker is selling his pc
cpu - ryzen 9 5900x
gpu - rtx 3080 evga ftw3 ultra gaming 10gb
ram - 32gb 4000mhz ddr4 from team t-force
aio cpu cooler- nzxt kraken x73
motherboard - msi mpg x570 gaming edge wifi
nvme - 1tb firecuda 520 gen4 nvme
ssd - 1tb seagate barracuda
psu - xpg 850w gold
case - nzxt h710
Price is $800
I want to use it for machine learning/AI and simulation (Isaac sim). I will also play games on 1080p like cyberpunk, elden ring. I most likely won’t use 1440p (I’m not much of a gamer) but I would like it to work for that in case I change my mind

The roads to work are rough with bumps and cracks and the cars go really fast. Work is also next to a lot of warehouses and there’s a lot of trucks and 18 wheelers. Ideally I will barely use the roads and drive on the sidewalks since it’s safer and I won’t be going at high speeds as well. Maybe 12 mph at most. Which one would be better. I don’t really have much of a budget but $600 is really pushing it for me personally. I don’t have money to afford a car, I just need a way to commute to work and maybe get groceries is all. Work is 3 miles away from me so I need 6 miles a day or 10 miles at most and that’s it honestly.
I didn’t go because I already walked and I was tired of being in the heat. Didn’t think much was gonna happen and a lot of my friends said they weren’t going to go but I just saw the photos of the drone show and I’m feeling kinda bad that I missed it now :(
Edit: I didn’t know there was going to be a drone show
Hello! My commute to work is about 2.5 to 3 miles. It’s not a lot but long enough to make walking it a pain. I’m looking to buy an e-scooter but don’t have much of a budget, probably up to $500.
Despite the commute being short, the roads are kinda rough (somewhat rocky, and cracked a bit) and I work next to a warehouse so there’s a lot of heavy machinery/equipment/trucks that makes the roads and commute even worse. I also live in San Diego, so there’s gradual inclines and declines. Nothing too crazy but they’re there.
All the nice e-scooters were all way about my budget I.e $800 etc that’s why I was looking at second hand e-scooters. Saw these two options
Both seem to be fine but idk about battery life. Both driven roughly 500 miles.
But if you guys have any recommendations besides this let me know.
Lastly, a reason I’m choosing e-scooters over e-bikes is because it would be easier to manoeuver and carry. I’m not choosing an e-bike because then I’d be forced to take the roads since e-bikes are too big for sidewalks but my colleagues recommend bigger tires so idk. If you think an e-bike is more apt let me know! But for now seems like e-scooters might be the best option?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew a cost effective way to get grad regalia. I am attending my masters graduation and the masters regalia is a $140 just to wear once which is robbery and not something I have lying around. I was trying to find some sort of rental service or second hand seller but found literally nothing. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations or options :/ thank you!
I’m trying to power my raspberry pi. I underestimated the amount of current I needed and brought a 5v 3a power bank but now I need 5v 5a. I was initially thinking of lipo batteries but they were more expensive as I have to buy a dedicated charger and other stuff to set it up.
Amazon then started recommending these lipo batteries to me that have 12v and can discharge up to 6a and they have a dedicated charger that they already come with. This is perfect but it’s a really cheap compared to the standard Lipo batteries that you have to buy individually and the charger and wiring separately. Im trying to figure out what the catch is? I haven’t heard any of my friends talk about this, nor have I found any videos about it and the reviews are pretty generic and not too many people have rated it. For this deal, I expected way more people to be buying it.
