HEAR YE. THE LEADER HAS REDEFINED THE PURPOSE OF SEATS

Hence forth we shall now all only exist horizontally while resting our heads on perfectly usable but now utterly useless arse focussed seats. This includes your own seats at home, as well as smelly bus seats.

Praise be to the leader

ATROCIOUS ANTONELLI DEMOTED TO START BEHIND THE GEAT LEADER

Thank goodness sense has prevailed. All praise his highness for not even needing to complete T1 to gain his rightful spot

Won my first race and I’m prouder than I probably should be

Second week into iRacing as a total newbie to the platform but having been a massive motorsport fan all my life.

I’m solely running the M2 but got a fast track promotion to D licence in the first week, spent endless laps practicing Winton for the current week, finally qualified P2 and ended up getting the win - I’m honestly more proud of that certificate than I probably should be - and came away with a 3.76 SR.

I’m so hooked on sim racing now, pleasure to race with you all (well, from my limited experience, the vast majority of you at least 😉)

Your taxi for one just arrived. Are you getting in the front or back?

First time I’ve called a (private hire) taxi for years. Matey pulls up and suddenly the dilemma hits me, am I getting in the front or back?

(Irrespective of where I’m sat I’m still doing the awkward “been busy today?” line)

GS V2P rev / shift LED sync with iRacing

Has anyone had issues with the sequential LEDs on the GS V2P with cars in iRacing? I’m racing the M2, enabled the RPM telemetry in pit house (may not be the correct term I’m not in front of computer atm) but the shift lights are out of sync with the car dash especially in the higher rev range.

I’m new to Moza so assuming this is something I’m doing wrong, any advice would be appreciated

Sharing something positive (UK)

First off, first time sim rig buyer so I have absolutely nothing to compare this experience to (and no, no one has asked or paid me (I wish) to write something nice) but I did see the comments here about delays etc and it did make me a bit concerned.

My initial plan was a TR5 but in the UK the estimated dispatch date kept getting further and further away, and having already bought a load of Moza gear and 3 monitors I was getting a bit fed up of waiting to build something.

Took a gamble and ordered a TR40S as a first rig, along with the fixed back GT seat (about the same price as the TR5 at the time) and the cheaper freestanding triple monitor mount - I’m coming with proceeds from selling flight sim kit so the budget is what it is.

Ordered on Saturday night, dispatched on Monday afternoon and delivered at 10am on Tuesday morning.

Build has taken two half days because there’s a LOT of adjustments to make to suit you, but from my experience everything was well packaged and in the box.

My only criticism was I ordered the seat as part of the “options” when buying the rig, then panicked I hadn’t bought the brackets because it wasn’t an option on the store. However, they did send the brackets to go with the seat, although there instructions suggested there should be some sort of rails to attach the brackets to, which weren’t in the seat box, the rig box or the bracket box… not the end of the world I’ve mounted it directly to the rig frame, but something I probably will follow up on in case I’m missing something important.

Also for anyone wondering that’s looking at a TR40S, the cheaper tubular triple monitor mount fits nicely between the rig, so there’s no need (from a dimensions perspective at least) to go for the profile style one that’s in the upgrades list

TR5 in the UK

Appreciate I should probably be asking this on Discord but I’m too old to understand it. Has anyone had any update on the TR5’s availability in the UK? Website went from mid June to late June.

I’m wondering if I don’t pre-order it if there’ll be any stock left for non pre-orders when it’s available

(UK) - Anyone in the market for a DIY half A320 cockpit project (or just a load of winwing kit)?

I’m about 6 months into my DIY home cockpit build, but looks like I’m going to have to move house in the next few months, and I don’t think this project is going to be able to come with me 😔

Before I start considering eBay, I thought I may as well post something here in case anyone was thinking about starting out - if I do sell it I’d really rather do it in as few a transactions as possible

Winwing specific bits are:

- 1 x MCDU
- FCU / Glareshield
- Left and right EFIS
- Ursa Minor joystick (capt side)
- Ursa Minor throttle and 32 PAC

In the highly unlikely event someone was interested in the whole project:

- Photos are the latest I have on me but can find more
- The frame, pedestal etc etc is 9mm MDF. It’s scaled pretty much correctly but it is NOT CNC produced, this was me hand cutting everything
- Everything is painted in RAL 7091
- There are 2 USB-C monitors running the PFD / ND / ECAM
- Joystick has been sunk into a hidden shelf to hide the game controller like buttons (a rubber boot would finish it perfectly

Things to note:

- I only have one maybe 2 winwing boxes with a load of the original brackets etc etc. I don’t have all the original packaging as I wasn’t anticipating selling it!
- Each winwing component has been mounted into the cockpit frame but not modified, EXCEPT:
- I’ve soldered longer cables between the connectors on the PAC and the throttle to allow the them to be properly placed behind the throttle)

Also importantly, no monitors / PC included in any of this - I still need that!

If anyone is interested in anything before I start messing around with eBay give me a shout.
