Bring it On is never talked about as a peak HS movie, but it is.

Grown ass man here, but Bring it On is perfect. It’s hilarious, nostalgic, and infinitely quotable. Never talked about in the lineage of great high school movies, but it’s unassailable.

What’s the best use of animation in a live action film?

I love when live action movies include animation, and here are some of my favorites:

  1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
  2. Kill Bill Volume 1
  3. Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

What are some other good examples?

I’m a big dude and felt strong today, but have never gotten more than 205. Help me out.

For context, all of my reps on every workout are kind of rest pause. I have a mental block about working out in a way that’s as safe as possible to avoid re-injuring my lower back. I have aggravated my lower back injury on bench before, so I’m paranoid even on bench.

Here I’m benching 205 for 1. I worked up to this by doing 135 for 12, and going incrementally higher for lower reps until I maxed this. I definitely have more in the tank, but no spotter, so didn’t want to try to get more than 1 out or go any higher.

How can I move up to 225?

What HOTD scene is on par with the best scenes in GoT?

Lots of people in this sub are super critical of the show, which is understandable, but are any scenes on par with and of the great GoT scenes in your opinion?

PMX FID…got it for a song…but…

It’s commercial equipment (got for $125), but high off the ground, heavy, and the seat is very wide. I can barely get my feet on the ground for flat and incline (wife can’t at all). Good find, but having a little buyer’s recourse.

Kind of regretting the new addition…

Got a PMX FID bench on OfferUp from a local gym owner. It’s a beast and commercial quality, but it’s very high. I can barely get any foot drive on bench (my wife’s feet don’t touch on flat), and the seat is so wide that it’s very awkward doing flat and incline bench. Decline works well.

It also is at the limit of fitting under my barbell for incline bench.

Good thing I got it for a song…

Is First Man worth a watch?

Not comparing to PHM, but I was doing some reading on Leon Bridges and saw he was in it. I’m sure he’s not a huge part, but I like Gosling. Worth a watch?

Is this the most egregious foul ever? Also, how tf was this fight allowed to go on?

Should’ve been a DQ or NC at least. Tf… never saw this before today.

EDIT: not DQ’d based on the knockout, but by the severity of the foul. Definitely intentional.

Where to find Camoflage…?

EDIT: nvm found it. Shabutie.

Had it on my iPhone, but for some reason, when I got a new one, anything that wasn’t from Music store (formerly iTunes) no longer works.

Where did Camoflage originally appear?

Some flank steak for dinner. A little over what I’d like, but delicious nonetheless.

Marinade - olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, garlic, kosher salt, pepper. Marinated for 2 hours, patted dry, and temped for 45 min.

Seasoning - blend of uncle Chris’s steak seasoning, cayenne, and lowry’s lemon pepper

Method - cranked burners to high and grilled for 4 min per side looking for color of sear. Flipped and repeated. Flipped and temped then grilled for 1 min 30 seconds each side to try and get it to 130. When I temped it again, it was a little over, so pulled it. Let rest for 10 min before slicing. What isn’t finished tonight will become meal prep for the week.
